Latest comments on the subject from a former U.S. President, a humanitarian and a good Christian man.....
Carter: Racism plays major role in opposition to Obama (CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.
"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter said. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."
"That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply," Carter said.
Carter made similar remarks at an event at his presidential center in Atlanta, Georgia, The Associated Press reported Tuesday, pointing to some protesters who have compared Obama to a Nazi. "Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care," the former president said at the Carter Center, according to AP. "It's deeper than that."
He grouped Wilson's shout of "You lie!" during Obama's speech in that category, according to AP. "I think it's based on racism. There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," he said.
"The president is not only the head of government, he is the head of state. And no matter who he is or how much we disagree with his policies, the president should be treated with respect."
The House voted Tuesday to formally disapprove of Wilson's behavior during the joint session of Congress. The resolution was approved largely along party lines, with Republicans calling the measure unnecessary partisan politics.
Wilson apologized to the White House last week, but congressional Democrats said he owed the chamber a similar statement of regret.

One statement with two thoughts:
I think racism with regards to Obama is exaggerated by Democrats while too easily dismissed by Republicans.
There ARE people whose motivations for disliking this President have roots in racism. And there ARE people who just don't agree with his policies. We need to acknowledge both exist.

While I agree w/ your statement that there are motivations for disliking Obama based on racism/race... You have to acknowledge that there are equally an amount of folks that LIKE/AGREE WITH him because of race as well... Neither are right...

Wow, now I see that "change" Obama campaigned on. Four years ago if you challenged the President on anything, you were a patriot. Now challenging the President makes one a racist!

Wow, now I see that "change" Obama campaigned on. Four years ago if you challenged the President on anything, you were a patriot. Now challenging the President makes one a racist! Even a fake news show disproves this statment. I was comparing the statements Hillary Clinton made in 2003 (I originally thought it was made four years ago); “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.” to the statements made by Jimmy Carter Tuesday about criticism of the President being racially motivated. Both were widely reported network and cable news programs, although I would have to agree that some them qualify as a "fake news show". I think the remarks from these two prominent members of the President's party prove the statement.

Be careful not to take the bait and get distracted by the bright shiny things, stay focused on the arguments that matter.

Four years ago, if you challenged the president, you were labeled anti-American, and pro-terrorism. All while protesting from a fenced in area the size of a Don John.

Maybe they're still clinging to guns and religion because they're still bitter about the government, just like they were before the election?? No change there I guess.
That looks like a pretty big Don John in Frank's pictures!

Did you know that barrack was a lawyer for acron! While Obama might have been a lawyer for "acron" he was never a a staff lawyer for ACORN, but worked on ONE case in their behalf. From Politifact: Obama and two other attorneys represented ACORN in a 1995 federal civil lawsuit against the state of Illinois — Gov. James Edgar and other state officials were the named defendants — to demand that it enforce a new federal law known as "motor voter," which allowed people to register to vote when they got their drivers' licenses. There were five other named plaintiffs in the case, but ACORN was the lead plaintiff. Among the groups that sided with ACORN in the matter: the U.S. Department of Justice and the League of Women Voters. The courts concluded that Illinois had to enforce the law, and the case generated several federal court orders through 1995 and 1996.
Obama once took on a case for ACORN. But Obama was never a staff attorney for ACORN. He did not do ongoing work for the organization. He handled one case along with two other attorneys. ACORN was one of several plaintiffs. And the U.S. Department of Justice sided with ACORN in the case. We think Rove's comment suggests a deeper legal relationship between Obama and ACORN than actually existed. And so we rule Rove's statement Half True.

How's that coolaid taste? Can I pour you another cup? I didn't vote for the obama because I found out who he was associated with! The terrorist group weather underground was the first group that I found out that obama and his wife were close friends with. Bill ayers a founder of the weather underground and obama go way back in Chicago were the first lady work with bernardine dohrn a leader in the weather undergroud and was paid a very large salary for doing nothing!
I don't know about you? but I have never been around a terrorist, but barrack has two of them for friends and mentors. Barrack said look at the people I surround myself with and thats who I am. Ok lets look....bill ayers, bernardine dohrn terrorist, van jones, mark llyod communist, cass sunstein the czar who wants animals to have equal rights with humans and ban hunting and the 2nd Amendment. Just to name a few of barrack inner circle, you decide! So is barrack a socialist , marxist or communist? I know he's not a capitalist just from his policies, and health care isn't about health, its about control! Support who you want to, but I will never support a man who wants to change America into a oppressive marxist country! I don't like him or his polices and the way he treats the elderly. So smite me!
Why is so much stimulus money(you know the big money bill that was past to stop the jobless rate from going over 10%) to acron! Is it to continue to help people cheat on their taxes? rig some more votes? cheat us(tax payers) out of more money? have people on stand by so they can be called, than bused to a protest in favor of obamas destructive plans? I say God Bless America! not God d**n America, like obamas pastor rev wright said, and now lives in a gated community in a million dollar home! Looks like the chickens have come home to roost! So far free speech is still allowed! I don't like obama, don't like his czars, don't like what he stands for and I am working hard to defeat him at every turn! Not only him, but anyone who wants to destroy our country!
