"While thousands of at-risk Americans wait, some big Wall Street banks have already secured the hard-to-find H1N1 vaccine for their employees.
Building on a story that BusinessWeek broke, NBC reports that employees at the New York Stock Exchange, bankers at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, and employees at the Federal Reserve have all received swine flu vaccine doses to administer to their employees.
In particular, NBC reports that Goldman Sachs has received 200 doses of the vaccine -- the same amount as Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Wall Street banks, like many other companies, put in requests for the vaccine but seem to have had something of a leg up on securing doses."

It makes me sick that the 9/11 terrorists are going to be coming to US Courts for their trials. They should not be afforded the same privileges American citizens have. Much of the evidence is most likely not going to be permitted and there is a good chance they will walk free. They have tried to plead quilty before. They will use this as a photo op on our dime. We will be paying for their attorneys and everything else they want and need. Shame on us.

I received this poem in an email.
Twas the month before Christmas* *When all through our land,* *Not a Christian was praying* *Nor taking a stand.* *See the PC Police had taken away,* *The reason for Christmas - no one could say.* *The children were told by their schools not to sing,* *About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things..* *It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say* * December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.* *Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit* *Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!* *CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod* *Something was changing, something quite odd! * *Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa* *In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.* *As Targets were hanging their trees upside down* * At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.* *At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears* *You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.* *Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty* *Are words that were used to intimidate me.* *Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen* *On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !* *At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter* *To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.* *And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith* * Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace* *The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded* *The reason for the season, stopped before it started.* *So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'* *Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me...* *Choose your words carefully, choose what you say* *Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday !* Please, all Christians join together and wish everyone you meet during the holidays a MERRY CHRISTMAS Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!

I'm not trying to be argumentative and I really don't like the PC police but honestly, is there really a chance that Christ will be forgotten this Christmas? Even with all the anti-"Merry Christmas" people and the anti-Christmas tree sentiment and the anti-manger scene groups, isn't the season still chock full of Christianity?
I think the anti this, that, and the other thing groups go too far, they're really a pain in the neck most of the time. But, I can see where they come from. An awful lot of people spend an awful lot of time trying to beat it into everyone's head that this country was founded on Christian principles. Maybe they're right, but that's not the point. The point is that in normal circumstances it's hard (impossible?) to get away from the idea that this country is for Christians and anyone else is just tolerated.
Then, at Christmas time, the pro-Christianity groups turn the dial up to 11.
I don't want to take Christ out of Christmas, but it would be nice if non-Christians were made to feel welcome during the season rather than just tolerated as outsiders in this Christian country.

I know what you mean. I was watching an old propaganda film (there is no other way to describe it) from the 50s meant to be shown to school kids in this country to teach them the dangers of communism and socialism. They had a pillar, made up of various blocks. Each block represented a value we preserve as Americans. The biggest value at the bottom of the pillar was faith in God. While propaganda, there were some good points in the video, but the idea that you have to be christian to be a good American is absurd.
For those interested, here is the video
