I can say one thing, someone needs to do something about these pizza prices.. La Piazza aka RipOff now charges something like $14.00 for a large CHEESE PIZZA? ? 2 Larges $26.45... this is insanity, Total insanity.

It's not their fault - it has something to do with the cost of the ingrediants skyrocketing. From MSNBC: Pizza makers have seen their cheese costs soar this year from $1.30 a pound to $1.76 a pound. Even worse, the flour used to make the dough has gone from $3-$7 dollars a bushel to $25 a bushel in less than a year. The full story: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23415510/

Well I did a little IR of my own and what do we find... Google Search Of: chicago mercantile exchange cheese Yields: www.dailydairyreport.com/"CHEESE MARKET PLUNGES AGAIN Healthy cheese supplies continue to weigh on the market. Blocks plunged 6¢ today and barrels fell 4.5¢. For blocks it’s the lowest price since late January. Nine loads of block traded and for the fourth straight day offers to sell 10 more were left on the board." From: www.dailydairyreport.com/data/ddr081908.pdfThat was yesterday -- now todays INTRADAY REPORT shows us: 40# BLOCKS : $1.6950 : -.0050 - 40lb blocks went down half of a cent. ---- Pretty soon they will have no excuse... our anus' will return to normal and we will walk normal after we pay for that pizza. Hmmm.. 6 cents in one day

My beer still costs 9.00 for a 12 pack? I'm not sure if we Americans could take the price of our beer rising like gas, food, utilities, etc... I have often thought about the fact that beer prices haven't seemed to have changed much. Maybe the powers to be realize their could be anarchy and rebellion if the price of beer skyrocketed too.

My beer is $14.00/bottle. So, higher? Well, as beer is a commodity and not a necessity (I know...I know)...I do believe even beer is subject to price hikes. If folks want it, they will just keep paying for it.

There will NEVER be "Too Many" Pizza joints. Favorite quote stolen from movie - "Pizza is like sex - even when it sucks, it's still pretty good"

Just had our first pizza annd wings at Classic Pizza. Certainly won't be our last. Godd to see the old guy from Carini's. Prices were much better than LaFontana and food was just as good or better. The other place where Carini's used to be is a joke. Only ate there once. Won't go back. Glad we now have a good pizza place on the island.
