For those of you that won't get Chinese food on the island, can't blame you I finally found a place that is a solid 5 stars. It's 20 minutes away in Bowie but well worth it. The service is the best I have seen and the food is very fresh and done very well. It's a little pricey but if you like Chinese food on a higher level this is the place. It is without question the best I have ever had. The place is spotless also. My wife has General TSO's shrimp and this was done in a way I have never seen it. She raved on the dish. I can't recall what mine was called but this to was great. A friend have the Rockfish, whole fish done in a crispy fashion. WOW
Try it out Graces Fortune 15500 Annapolis Rd Bowie

We'll have to try it sometime. The House of Hunan at the Festival Center in Parole also has excellent food, reasonable prices, and good service. It's also convenient for us coming from DC on the way home from work.

Thanks alanr! I'll definately try it. There's also a really good Chinese Restaurant across 50 in Crofton. "Crystal Hunan" is in a shopping center on 450 pretty much on the corner of 3 and 450. Worth a try. I also second "Shadow' on the "House of Hunan" in the Giant / Festival shopping center on Riva Rd. They have a lot of different things on their menu and everything that I've had has been great! For very basic but still good Chinese food, the Canton Gormet Inn on Cape St. Clair Rd is pretty good and cheap. It's also the closest to KI.

It's a shame we have to go over the bridge to find a good one but so be it. I wife has been turned off to Chinese for for over two years now, since eating at several ones from Kent Island E to Easton. I tried to one in Annapolis, not bad. At least it is clean. I was blown away by Graces. Pull up some reviews. The prices range from $14-24. The rockfish was $24.00. Just save room for the Chocolate Souffle.

Is Graces the one in the shopping center behind the IHOP? If so, yes they are great!!! but....pricey... I thought over priced really. They do have a great variety though.

Yes this is the one. I am stuck on this restaurant. The Sunday brunch is great. I live on the island and drive to Grace's. Worth it to me.The high end dished are around $23.00 but worth it. The reg ones are around $14 normal price. They give you a ton a very fresh food that is served very nicely. You can tell they care on how they serve the food.

For carryout I kind of like Beijing Kitchen in Centreville. Hong Kong on the Island sucks bigtime however. No taste at all.

Yucky sounding to me too. DH makes great eggrolls, and I make a mean Mongolian Beef with BROWN rice. YUMMY ! Much healthier than white rice. If anyone else on kio makes wonton's we can have a party !
