Forwarded to me from ARF:
I hope everyone enjoys the attached Update. Our next Update will be in January.
Calendars sales have been huge! We only have a couple left. If you have any stubs out please return them to ARF before the first drawing which will be the third Monday in January.
I also want to thank everyone for all the donations of items from our wish list. Much needed supplies, toys, food, litter are being dropped off regularly each day. This is so helpful to ARF and to the animals.
We still can use more towels, sheets and blankets for the animals.
On a sadder note, we lost Misty, our house dog just recently. She was 16 or 17 years old. She is very missed.
Also, a few days after our fundraiser, Photos with Santa, we had a litter of puppies come down with Parvo (a virus that attacks the lining of the digestive system). Two of the puppies (from a litter of 6) had to be taken to Anne Arundel Animal Emergency Care for intensive 24/hr care. We lost one of the puppies (Fletcher) but Binky was able to come “home” to ARF and is recovering nicely along with the rest of the litter. If all goes well, the puppies should be available for adoption the first of the year. At this point, the effort to save this litter has taken weeks of round-the-clock care from our tremendous team of volunteers and over $6000 in scarce funds. If anyone can make a donation to help us pay off this debt, please send your contribution to ARF, P.O. Box 396, Chester, MD 21619. Remember all donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Year.
Thank you for all you do for ARF and ARF’s animals!
