For those of you who don't know about Purina Frosty Paws ~ they are a great way to cool your dog down on a hot summer day. Frosty Paws are in the frozen section in the grocery store, next to the ice cream. They are not ice cream, but a nice replacement that dogs can digest and my dogs love them.. (we get the peanut butter) geez, after re-reading that, I sound like i'm trying to pitch the product for the store lol Im not, I just thought I would share. I came in the house tonight and my dogs were panting away and they just couldnt seem to cool down. I remembered I had these in the freezer and It worked like a charm. ;D

not to cause a riff or anything but i would advise only giving them to dogs that have been inside in the A/C for a while... several breeders that i've known over the years told me that even giving a dog ice-water that stays outside is not a good idea unless the dog is taken inside and given a "cool down period" first... i think it has something to do with the fact that a dog pants to get rid of heat and cooling the tongue in such a rapid manor could be harmful... just my .02....

Good point. We were in the house for quite a while before I gave them the FP's. You def don't want to shock their system, but I'm glad you mentioned this..
