An excerpt out of an upcoming SI article about Roger Goodell. It speaks volumes..........
Goodell said he "doesn't feel any connection'' with Ben Roethlisberger. Not too surprising there. I'd always heard Roethlisberger felt he got railroaded on his six-game suspension that was reduced to four. But Goodell said he had "some very tough times'' with Chicago defensive tackle Tank Johnson before suspending him, and that Donte' Stallworth chafed when first told he'd be suspended for a year after a car Stallworth was driving struck a man on a Miami causeway and killed him, with the player being legally drunk at the time.
"The one thing I take a little bit of issue with is when guys tell me they're being screwed,'' Goodell said. "Most often they're not recognizing they have a role in it.'' Regarding Roethlisberger, Goodell said when he was investigating what to do with the quarterback, he talked to "I bet two dozen players ... Not one, not a single player, went to his defense. It wasn't personal in a sense, but all kinds of stories like, 'He won't sign my jersey.' ''
GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!

This article is just complete crap, and for Goddell to give this interview on the week leading up to the Super Bowl is ridiculous. This keeps reiterating the fact that out of all the Teams he did not want the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Ben was never convicted of a crime, unlike Ray Lewis getting convicted and Dante Stallworth getting convicted. If you are looking at the character look at those two individuals. The supporters of this article are people that are upset that their team are not in the Super Bowl, and cannot come grasp the fact that the Steelers are a dynasty, and Ben is in the top 5 QB's right now.

he is just another man, caught with his pants down and some floozy looking for her 15 minutes of fame...... Who cares if this comes out a week before the "big" game... . If Big Ben is a true athlete, things like this won't affect him.... It's just gibberish, a slow news day, and most importantly, who really cares? ? Well I guess Steeler fans might, since they squawk the loudest and need to get their excuses lined up if things don't go the way the expect.... And I don't think the Football Commissioner has any control over who goes to the Superbowl or not.... I believe the control goes to the teams who put up the Big W's when it counts.....

Ben is clearly a douche bag and clearly he has issues with violence against women. I'm not saying that because I hate the Steelers. I have read the witness reports on the last couple of alleged rapes and whether you believe every word or not it is clear this guy has problems with women. Additionally it is well known his teammates don't like him. No one has come to his defense and when he was injured they took shots at him. This does not sound like a guy his team enjoys being around.
I'm not knocking the guys skills. He is a great quarterback and knows how to win. I think if he were not a star player the Steelers would have released him a couple years ago due to his character issues, but they recognize he can play his ass off and they are much better with him than without him.
Most Steeler fans I know say the same thing, they detest him personally but know that he is a winner on-field so they put up with his character flaws. This is the NFL afterall, not a church choir
