To keep from having your tags flagged by the MVA citizens must first pay the fine, and then wait months before a trial date is issued in Balto. City for red light camera tickets. Several counties require the fine up front in order to have a trial date for any moving violation. The Government holds millions of your hard earned dollars, and keeps the interest............Should there be an investigation into this Un-Constitutional criminal practice?

Your Constitutional rights supersede the red light camera, and a ticket issued by a cop. You're innocent until proven guilty, entitled to face your accuser, and you can't be fined until found guilty with a fair trial. |

If red light cameras were about safety, they'd be setup to catch people crossing the intersection AFTER the light was red. No, they catch people going through yellows. That isn't unsafe. The crossing lane isn't green yet.

I don't dispute they are financially motivated in nature, but they don't catch people going through yellows. They take your picture while the light is yellow when you are behind the line (not run yellow yet) and then while you are in the intersection when it is red. You can run down the yellow all you want, just don't miss-time it.
Pete - amazing how this is not an issue you bring up until it affects you.
