$15/ticket. Starts at 5, at the Legion on Rte. 8.
Benefits Chesapeake Cats and Dogs, which has SO many cats and dogs coming into its facility all the time. There is no room, there is no money to pay for food, vet bills, other care. Please come, have a good time, and help the cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs. Last year's event was great fun for all!

This was so much fun last year! Really looking forward to it again, I didn't realize that Queen Anne's County had so much local talent!

Come One! Come All to CCAD’s Variety Benefit Show!
Make your plans to attend the Variety Show fundraiser on August 18. The fun begins at 5:00 pm at the Kent Island American Legion on Rte. 8 South, with award-winning DJ Steve Moody. There will be food to purchase for your dinner made by our top chef. Visit the Bake Sale table for a dessert treat, including slices of Smith Island Cake. Take your time browsing the Silent Auction items. Bring your checkbooks because it will be hard to resist these outstanding Auction. For example, one donation is an airplane ride over the Eastern Shore in a private plane, Bev’s Grooming is providing a unique Pet Basket, L & L Liquors is donating a basket of their goods, and there will be two handcrafted Angel Pins. There will be a Dewey Basket (Dewey is the famous library cat from Iowa), a Cooking Basket, and a scent-filled Bath Basket. There are many more exciting Silent Auction items you will want to bid on. So, bring your family and invite your neighbors.Then sit back to enjoy the entertaining Variety Show produced by Maxine Wixom. The acts include marvelous Swing Dancers from Baltimore; Butch Boswell, who sings and plays his guitar with Sheba his beautiful rescue dog at his side; more dancers; and a variety of singing styles. What an evening of food, fellowship with friends of Chesapeake Cats & Dogs and entertainment!! All this for $15 a ticket plus the cost of food, baked items, Silent Auction buys, and 50/50. We are providing this enjoyable evening to benefit the cats and dogs. Looking forward to seeing you on August 18th.
