Its the house's turn now at one of the strictest gun laws in the country. I dare to say there is little evidence that they will vote different, but who knows. I am curious as to what they expect will happen. It is a fact that strict gun laws don't stop the violence, just look at Washing DC and Chicago as a case in point. So it's time to sit back and watch those who know more then us, and see how this plays out. George

I wonder if we can petition this for referendum? Anyone know if this is possible on this type of law?

Should be able to, I think only appropriation(?) bills can't go that way
Of course OWEMALLY is making it tougher to get signatures since we sent 2 that way last election

Senate passed, we'll see about the house.
If the magazine restrictions only change from 20 to 10, it won't affect me. I ship 30 rounders to my parent's house in VA and drive them up.

Lots of Pro 2A supporters stuck it out in Annapolis last night. Hopefully their (and our) voices were heard. 1307 against SB 281 and HB 294 and 32 for it. Thank you to all who have let your voice be heard and a special thank you to those who stuck in there at Annapolis until the wee hours of the morning.

I listened to a live feed yesterday of the citizens giving the pro2a testimonies and they all did a fantastic job. From what I've heard they were there until 3am opposing HB281. If anybody on this site made it to Annapolis to stand up for our 2A rights...thank you.

I am sorry to say but it doesent matter how many people in maryland are against it, as long as PG, Mont. Co. and Baltimore City are for this crap it will pass. I read about a teacher in PG talking about how many students were stricken by gun violence, Duh.... which brings up another point, the far left uses phrases about how many youths are killed with guns, but what they fail to say is how many of them are involved in the drug trade. It's all bullcrap..They know it and its just a platform so our governor might have a chance at the white house George
