Which side of the fence?
If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!
If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.
enough said George

I got about halfway down and wanted to make a correction;
If a Republican is a homosexual, he gets arrested for propositioning dudes in the men's room of an airport, because he has had to hide his "disorder" from the world.

A Democrat acknowledges the legitimacy of the separation of church and state. A Republican thinks everyone is Christian.
A Democrat says hello to someone of Hispanic or Islamic decent. A Republican wants them arrested.
A Democrat sees guns as a means of defense to be used rationally. A Republican sees them as a way to brag.
A Democrat wants sexually active people to be safe and informed. A Republican wants them shamed and ostracized.
A Democrat sees homosexuality as natural. A Republican sees it as threatening and scary.
A Democrat wants to live in a society. A Republican wants to live in a bubble.
Enough said.

A Democrat acknowledges the legitimacy of the separation of church and state. Problem with this is that that term doesn't exsist, No state sponsored religion does not equate separation from A Republican thinks everyone is Christian. Doubt it. Check 9/11/01
A Democrat says hello to someone of Hispanic or Islamic decent. Only to get their vote A Republican wants them arrested. Not all of them, just the illegals, then deport them
A Democrat sees guns as a means of defense to be used rationally. but doesn't trust a citizen to do so.... A Republican sees them as a way to brag. Or sees them as a 2A right?
A Democrat wants sexually active people to be safe and informed. A Republican wants them shamed and ostracized. Really? Where is this from?
A Democrat sees homosexuality as natural. or just more votes A Republican sees it as threatening and scary. or just doesn't want it thrown in their faces
A Democrat wants to live in a society. Without any other point of view in their way A Republican wants to live in a bubble. None that I know of...
No nerves here, just the nerve it took to post that crap.

Check 9/11/01OK, A Republican thinks everyone should be Christian. Quite cynical. Maybe you're projecting the pandering of the Republican Party? How does having guns as a rational means of defense go against the Second Amendment? Abstinence-only education? The crusade against Planned Parenthood? Again, cynical. And if you think homosexuality is being thrown in your face, you must lead a very sheltered life. In my experience, the people demanding a smaller government are the first to demand the government enforce their point of view to the exclusion of all others.

Thanks, Dennis, for noting that there are at least two different points of view in the world. I notice that George was not exactly vilified for his pov; why do you of the same opinion feel the need to attack others who are not? They are similarly entitled, and are not wrong except in the minds of those who disagree.

I know this has ruffled some feathers but the point of the post is to show the contrast between the two parties. As it stands now with the country split pretty much down the middle, nothing in congress will get done. The liberal side you have to admit has a like for bigger government, and has no problem spending money it does not have. Look at the pork in the latest of budgets proposals and tell me something is not wrong. I work hard for my money and am just getting by and really resent it being wasted on the likes of for example mechanical squirrels. Something has to give. I could go on but am really wasting time. Sorry if I offended anyone, but the truth is the truth George
