Prices, prices, prices? That's what's important, at least the most important, intitially. $1 off what? A dollar off isn't much to speak of anyway. You can get a draft at Red Eye's winter happy hour for $1.25. And that's not "off", that's it. Try that. Some of the best micro brew anywhere...Resurrection etc at the Brewer's Art in Baltimore for $3.75 draft. How does this compare? And I know that's a rhetorical question because I know they're not going to compete with that. You do remeber that Shells opened up with an outrageously priced burger, reduce the price and pretty promptly went out of business. And surprised no one.
I heard the place was mobbed Friday and it was packed again Saturday night; I don't know how much of the crowd was the Thai restaurant, but Shells was never near that crowded even on 25 cent wing night when the place was full. There is only so many the place will hold.
I like the location and thinks it's a plus. But will not go for high prices. Heck you can go anywhere for high prices and even have plenty of places to go for decent prices. As a matter of fact we did not even go in Saturday night because it was too crowded. Went to Ram's Head which was surprisingly busy and soon bcame packed. It was Okay, but noisy and loud. Bars seem to make their accoustics loud on purpose these days and I think they think it's smart.

Selection, quality, service, price, location: Each is important and everyone will decide for themselves which is the most important.
I regularly go to places that cost a little more but make up for it with selection and service.
Poor quality or a bad location will keep me away faster than anything else. Brewer's Art was great the one time I was there but I won't be driving up to Baltimore frequently.
The prices on the craft beers at Pour House will never be as low as Bud Light at Red Eye's or the prices microbreweries can sell their own product for. They seem to have the selection and reports are the quality and service is very good. We will be trying it soon.

Went on Saturday with my wife and another couple. Place was packed. only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Bar area was crowded as they have a dividing knee wall with bar chairs opposite the bar which creates a narrow passage way. I think they'll have to reconfigure that some way. was difficult to navigate. Wait staff was friendly and they were going a million miles a minute. not stop. food coming out of the kitchen was on the slow side, most likely attributed to the crowd. they must have been slammed. I had the bison burger, it was tasty, cooked properly. fries were made from real spuds, but were not warm and were soft. again, probably due to the staging and getting things out of the back. my wife had the crab cake and said it was excellent. my friends had the pulled pork, and one of the salads, thumbs up on both. I had a beer, forgot which one, a darker one, it was good, they had wine and enjoyed that. a very talented singer performed but it was hard to hear her or anything else for that matter. that's my only rub on this place, it should do well. no acoustic absorbent material around, all hard surfaces. with the Saturday night crowd there, it was as loud as a concert. It would be nice if they could get some acoustical panels around and deaden a some of the sound. beyond that, looks like it will do well.

We went last Thursday and here are my comments. We tried to get a stool in the bar area but if all the bar facing stools are taken forget about the ones behind them unless your anorexic. We moved on to a table. Our waitress was very attentive and what she was not sure about she quickly found out about. The beers ran from $4 to $6 with a buck off at happy hour. Though not real cheap I felt the price was about right for the quality. We had 2 appetizers and spit a crab cake sandwich. The HH chicken wings at $7 for 10 were OK but not the size Shells sold. Next we had the beer cheese dip. It was served with 12 mini soft pretzels and somewhat good. I just felt it was missing something. We told the waitress we were going to share the crab cake sandwich so she had the kitchen plate it on 2 plates each with a nice portion of fries. We thought the sandwich was a good value for $12 but did not care for the strange roll. I think next time we will ask for plain bread. One note the sandwich came with some very tasty tartar sauce already on it. If you don't like this be sure to tell them ahead of time. 2 nice beers 1 glass of wine and the food above for just over $40 before tip.

Went late last night. Not many people in there.
Had the beer cheese dip which was excellent. Bar service was great but yet it wasn't crowded. I do not like the free standing bar top. It should have been moved out about 3 feet since they added chairs. I can't fathom that set up on a crowded night as you won't be able to move thru there at all as the seats are almost back to back.
Beers are a tad overpriced compared to the rest of the island as well. That said I'd still probably go back but don't think I'd go if the bar area was full with the current set up of chairs

Went there tonight (Fri about 6:00). Bottom line: we'll be going back.
Good beer selection. Tonight on tap they had some IPAs, and amber, a tripel, a double bock, and some stouts. A very nice selection.
We had the beer cheese, a burger, and the fish and chips. We weren't impressed with the beer cheese. It was good, but not special. The burger was maybe the second best we have had on the island and the roll was great. The fish and chips was cooked very well and a nice, generous portion. The fresh cut fries were a surprise and were very good.
Three beers, beer cheese, burger, fish and chips, and tax came to $45. We thought that was quite reasonable. Pros: Food was very good and service was excellent. Highly recommend the burger and fries. Pot roast sandwich and crab cake both looked good and we may give them a try next time.
Cons: Loud and the bar area was crowded. The performer had the music turned way too loud when we came in. It was turned down a bit later but should have been notice, and corrected, sooner.
Overall: Definitely recommended nice addition to the island offerings.

Not exactly on the island, but close enough. Really liked Luke's burgers some years ago when we used to go there but it has been a long time.

Another review: We went for dinner and had burgers. I had a buffalo burger and my wife and son had cheeseburgers. The service was excellent. The burgers were great. The prices were reasonable. We will be going back for sure Only negative was the bar layout. The narrow alley between the bar and the dividing wall is just not a good idea.
