Maybe a local actually ate there and they were bringing a prize?

Instead of creating a new post I looked for the most recent post for Hemmingway's! It appears as though they won a review from the Capital! As all the locals know.... DANGER WILL ROBINSON.... Now Annapolis is now saved too! Happy reading ! touch.capitalgazette.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-83153452/

It's a shame but after several visits that place will never get another dime from me.Lousy service and lousy food. It seems that several other old time locations on the island have also given up. Prices have increased and food quality decreased. I now go to St Michaels and Annapolis and once in a while the Brasserie Brightwell in Easton. They have always been very good, just a limited menu. I guess that is how they stay good.

Hemingways sucks. That's nothing new. What's new is that it's not a local saying it sucks. finally, maybe someone will believe it now.

I've never eaten there and I always thought we should try that place. Now I know not to waste my time or money. Thanks Maybe not a complete waste of time, but not what you would expect. Since the remodel, it's a beautiful venue with stunning views of the sunset and the bridge. Since it's right off the bridge, it's an easy place to meet friends coming over the bridge for a drink or an appetizer, but take them somewhere else for dinner. I took my family there for my wife's birthday - huge disappointment. The Kobe burger I had there was really good, but overpriced. My wife's dinner, not so good. Long wait for a server, long wait for drink refills, long wait for food, but sitting outside on the upper deck was still pretty nice. Definently a tourist trap.

Anyone else notice the mention of 50/50 crab soup?
Direct rip off of Dave Harper at Kentmorr. I recommend going to the source- good food, local people, not so great decor. Can't have everything and I'll trade decor for good food.
