You're on a desert island and can only pick one... What's your top choice of music genre?

I'm not sure I could survive without my Arabic music...

I know I won't be popular.....At Christmas time I love Handle's Messiah, and drive my dh crazy when playing it. I am also a great fan of JS Bach, Vavaldi, Mozart, Handel etc. I love Jazz, The Blues, Buffett when on a boat, James Taylor, Indigo Girls, etc. OK, I have an extremely diverse taste in music. As long as the artist is talented, that's what I love. ; OH, and when in NYC 3 years ago, the Broadway Show, "Movin Out" Billy Joel and Twyla Thorpe, what an EXCELLENT show and music !

Wow-someone must REALLY love Celtic music. On an island with only Celtic?? I say this with no disrespect as a person whom since she can remember, had to listen to it ALL the time because my Dad loves it as well! We actually asked this question once at a family get-together, and he said the same thing! All I was thinking was Lord please don't let me be in the boat when he gets stranded!!
I put it on during the appropriate times of year, think lovingly of my Pop, and then gladly put it away. Again, no disrespect, it just prompted a memory for me.

I'm also a big fan of classical. Probably my favorite non-vocal piece is Vivaldi's "Winter". I also love Beethoven, Bach's St. Matthew Passion, Mozart's Requieum, and older stuff, like polyphony and chant (especially Poulenc and Palestrina).

Hope I have a constant supply of batteries on that dessert island to play music, or power a flashlight! LOL After living here on KI for more years than I care to think upon, those batteries no doubt would get the job done faster than Delmarva Power!
