"Mr. Realistic" why not register?
Did you read my post on page 1? It IS coming, but it NEEDS to be scaled back. I say let Arnold have those big ugly apartment buildings and development density.

I guess after every contractor has taken a sh*t on the island and all the people moving over here get what they want (to turn it into a developed hell-hole) they can start migrating east even farther to get away from Glen Burnie Island. Screw anyone who wants anything to do with K-Hov and hope that you don't say anything good about them in front of me!!!!

It looks like K-Hov had some difficulties at the State Board of Public Works yesterday. Some links to newspaper articles from May 10th are on qacbuzz.com. Maybe the Governor will take your advice and scale down the project Has anyone really thought about agreeing to K-Hov's plan to build, but only if they pull back to 300' from the water line and cutting the planned units from 300 to say half that amount, so the place does not look like a crowded mess. Development can do justice to the land, but only if done properly to enhance the land, not turn it into lego land. It is coming. Concentrate on making it as least painful as passable. Something everyone can live with. If K-hov wins and goes with the original high density plan, the land will lose. I wonder what K-hov would think of this idea.

Hear, hear. KHOV will destroy the area. This is the proposed development skirting on 200 Chesterview Farm's land. Christopher Drummond, the lawyer for the commision, is quite frankly a thief. Gene Ransom had stated to me well over a year ago, that as long as he held the position, he would do his best to make sure KHOV doesn't build.

Sometimes I just ASSUME that everyone wants K-HOV to fall on their face. And just ASSUME that nobody wants chain stores and restaurants to invade KI. And just ASSUME everyone is happy that the Wal-Mart deal was defeated. And just ASSUME that everyone thinks it’s cool that the commissioners finally adopted a unique architectural standard for KI.
But chatting with someone this weekend I was reminded that our friends in Grasonville, Queenstown, Centreville and Church Hill could care less. Many of them WANT KI to be developed like the rest of the world. And there are almost as many people in QAC that DONT live on KI ... as people who do.

The short-sighted people further east and north in QAC still fool themselves into thinking "give 'em Kent Island, and they'll stop at the Narrows"... Stupid. Kent Island is a couple hundred yards west of Grasonville across the Narrows... Build-out KI and watch QA follow.
