Does anyone know of any new restaurants coming to the Island. I've heard rumors of a Ruby Tuesday, Crackel Barrell and Sheridans turning into Tex Mex in March. I like the current places but I'm always interested in what else may be coming.

A possibility of a sushi place coming to KI - Someone that I know. I hope that he decides to do it because his place on the other side of the Bay Bridge is really good...!
Have you been to La Fontana yet? The food is great and the pizza is very good too. The "3 Cheese White Pizza" is awesome!
Luke's Grille has added a whole bunch of things to their new menu and everything that I've had on it so far has been great. It's completely different (menu wise) than when they first opened.
I haven't been into the Blue Water Tavern yet, but I've heard good things.
New Ram's Head has a great menu and the couple of times that I've been there the food has been very good.
I'de like to see a good Mexican place open up and a Thai place too. Jeez, I'de never leave KI then...!

Cracker Barrell was supposed to open next to K-Mart in a new building, but it was turned down. I've heard rumors that a Ruby Tuesday might be coming to the corner across from Rite Aid at the light, but justa rumor I think. I also heard that Green Turtle is/was looking at the space where the soon to be old Safeway currently is. We'll see.
Speaking of Safeway, is the new building going to only hose a Safeway in it, or other stores as well? It's freakin' huge just for a supermarket.

Ruby Tuesday has applied for a permit, but I don't think it's been approved yet - Same with Cracker Barrel.

I have it on good authority that Chick fil A is coming to the Safeway parking lot, and Ruby Tuesday has already started building next to the CVS. There was talk of a stand alone Starbux I met the person in charge of portions of their build but I think they finally decided on inside the Safeway according to management at Safeway. There will be at least one store in the strip where the new Safeway is you can see it from 18 it is too small for the Chic fil A but maybe not?

Just a couple of corrections...
The building going up next to CVS is not the Ruby Tuesday's. It' a Chevy Chase Bank, I believe.
Ruby Tuesday's is slated for next to the Chesapeake Outdoors Building (the old Golden Corral). The Commissioners granted it allocation this past Tuesday.

There's two open lots near CVS. One is new to the Red Apple strip center, and the other is cleared on the back side of CVS with a chain link fence around it.
There is a sign on the Red Apple side for a Mechantile Bank as GBM said.
Maybe the fenced lot isthe Ruby Tuesday.

That Mercantile sign has been there for months, except for a little while it was gone ( I am guessing that since PNC bank bought Mercantile they were considering which bank to build?) I am talking about the area to the right of the CVS if you are looking at it from 50. Between CVS and Clarks Landing. There WAS a sign that said RUBY TUESDAY. So I don't know about the county and what they approved I just know how to read. However today there is a sign that says CHEVY CHASE. So I guess it was a mistake?

Chevy Chase Bank is a good thing- now I only have to travel 2 miles instead of 20 miles to get to my bank.

No, it isn't a 'funded by' sign, it is a 'hand spray painted on a piece of wood, gotta get up on it to read it' sign with an address right at the entrance to the fenced in lot.
