That was a dusting, not anything significant. What I don't get is why did the county close the schools? I was driving at 6:30Am and everything was fine / nothing slippery. It must be a major problem to be a parent here with the schools closing at the drop of a flake, and with delays for such minor things as cold weather and fog.

From what I've heard, there was a serious school bus accident in inclement weather somewhere in the county a few years ago, and since then the county has been over cautious.

It was in Easton and it was foggy. An accident with a school bus and another motorist. The motorist didn't see the bus in the fog. I don't remember the details now, like if anyone was hurt.

There have been several bus accidents in "inclement" weather. I think as far back as 20 years ago I remember hearing stories...
Too right that wasn't snow...
It's fun going around plucking people from ditches, too. I get to play in the snow, and be helpful all at once.

Until Spring comes around, I'm all for a big blast of snow. H*ll, it's already cold! I enjoy it either way - I stay home from work and relax, or go to work when all the non-drivers are staying off the road. A six inch snow storm early Monday morning suits me fine

Come Chevy...Million dollar equipment to predict weather, and this one has been talked about since Friday, and all that Winter Adviory...What are you going to do. Most schools in our area never opened. But Poison's correct..open schools, get them there, see that temps are dropping, and early leave!!

It still counts as a full day to the school board. That's what they're looking for. I can't ever remember schools closing this much when I was growing up.

I'm working in Fall Church and have to pick the wife up in DC - anyone know how the roads are in Annapolis/Kent Island area? Was wondering if anything is starting to freeze over yet.
