Frank - nothing personal, but no group hugs. Pete - don't get used to it - I did agree with your last post, but for the most part (99%) I have a hard time with your paranoia and the Pete Richter Network(Ch.7)

Outlaw, the police suggest that if you are in a position that makes you question your safety with a police officer like you mention, to put on your hazard lights and drive very slowly. Drive to a well lit or populated area before pulling over. Also I have heard that if you have a cell phone to do the above and then call 911 to tell them what you are doing, they can speak with dispatch who speak directly to the officer.

Thanks, ljp, that sounds like sensible advice.

A person when stopped only has to open the window far enough that the license and registration can be handed through a window.
As far as bad police, hect I was talking to a relative who was on the Baltimore City Police years ago. He told me of an officer who "trained him" out of the academy in the 60's. His training officer would bring a 6 pack of beer with him at the beginning of the shift and obviously would be gone way before the shift ended. He was saying that even before he joined that there were city officers involved in setting up prostitutes for professional ball players when they came to town in the 50's! I'd venture to say that a lot of city officers got in trouble just by photo's taken by an old instamatic kodak back in the day. Imagine if they had video back then.........phew!!!!
The bad police and few and far between however even one bad officer makes it a tougher job for those who joined up to do the right thing.

May seem like a little violation unless your a handicapped person.
As for the pictures being taken of the deputy.....my statement a couple of posts back stands. Police doing things they shouldn't have has been going an for years, especially in places like the Baltimore City PD in the 50's 60's and 70's.
Like i said, boy if they had video back then!!!! Ewwww Weeee!

Pete R,
I understand that Baltimore City needs some revamping done with their police department and central booking. But, you were a cop. Why are you so against all cops? I want and value freedom just as much as you, but why do you feel that everything is a threat to your freedom? Lynn

Lynn, Pete hasn't been a cop since dinosaurs roamed the earth if ever. There is also no record of him ever being a Baltimore City police officer or a police officer in the entire state of Maryland. However, like I have said many times in this and in other threads, his criminal record is that of someone who has many screws loose and is not fit for law enforcement. I'm starting to feel Charles (AKA Pete) has animosity towards police in general for not accepting him as one of there own due to his mental condition.
