Anyone having any experience with this group of Doctors in Stevensville? I couldn't find a website for them to check hours etc. I was thinking about switching my family to them and wanted to see if anyone on here has used them or uses them currently. I know there's 5-6 doctors in the practice but that's all I could find out so far. Thanks

I use them and am very happy (this of course depends on which doctor you get 'assigned' to - I have heard horror stories about one of them that misdiagnosed a very common form of cancer over a period of many years) they are extremely busy though and it is hard to get an appointment. 410-643-7800

My family uses maryland Primary and we're happy with them. They moved to where PRS Guitars is to a bigger facility. They are very good.

We use them, and have never had a problem getting a same day appointment when we needed it.

This is not the usual GBM Talking, this is Serious Mike...
My girlfriend used to use them, to my knowledge most of the "doctors" there aren't doctors, they are Nurse Practitioners. With this being said they misdiagnosed her and her entire family on many many many different things over the years... The one Nurse Practitioners asks that people call her Doctor Julie, when infact she isn't a doctor, needless to say she no longer goes there nor do any members of her family. I know you guys on "The Island" have no choice, but you will when AAMC opens up, real doctors not Nurse Practitioners attempting to help people.

My family has gone there for several years. They have 5 or 6 doctors and 2 nurse practitioners. The main problem we have is getting in touch with them. They have so many patients and they're so busy that it's very difficult to get through on the phone--especially in the mornings. That said, you can usually get a same-day appointment if you really need to, but it will probably be with one of the nurse practitioners rather than a doctor. Also, even when you have an appointment, you can wait a long time before getting in. Sometimes I've had to wait up to 2-hours past my appointment time. I know I should just have left, but what can you do? Start the whole process all over again?

Thanks for the opinions so far, Here's another one I was wondering about Kalliongis, Demetrios J, MD Pediatrics Bay Area Pediatrics, LLC. My insurance has just changed and I have to pick a new doctor for my children and myself. I really do appreciate the feedback. There's nothing better than hearing from people who have actually had experience with the doctors.

Dr K is the best. He takes the time to talk to you. And he knows his kids.

Dr. K ROCKS!!!! excellent doctor! He remembers you and your kids and like poison says - he takes the time to talk to you. I actually called his office & hit the wrong selection - apparently i hit the one to leave a message for Dr. K - and HE ANSWERED THE PHONE!!!! It was like 4:30 or so and to top that off - HE TALKED TO ME - ADDRESSED MY CONCERNS & then sent me directly to the receptionist to make my appointment!!! I would recommend him to ANYONE with children!!

OH MY GOODNESS -
Julie has NEVER EVER asked me or any of my family memebers to call her Dr. Julie. My daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, husband and myself all go to "Julie". She is awesome and oh so cautious when it comes to our health. No, she is not a doctor but if she is at all not sure, she consults with a doctor there. She is kind, caring and does not hesitate to refer to a specialist if needed. She takes time with all of us. We never feel rushed. She also gives us "samples" of most medications that she prescribes in order to know whether they work or not without paying the high cost. She is the best and I hope she never leaves. Because of her interest in me and her kindness, I have had physicals every year and have taken care of myself. It really upset me to see her "badmouthed". I wish everyone in the medical field had her caring and intelligence.

Sorry kicruiser, I'm speaking only from the experiences of people close to me. And yes, they were asked to call her Doctor Julie.

I could not agree more with KIcruiser.Julie is the sole reason myself and my children are so good about our check-ups.She makes us feel so comfortable, she is so caring and listens to everything we are concerned about.Nothing is too trivial to talk about with her and she is so great about following up on all our concerns.I have never felt so comfortable with a medical person ever. She has also NEVER asked us to call her "DR." either. In fact, she is the ONLY reason we go to MD Primary.I really wonder how out of context that was taken??

GBM...sorry about the experience your girlfriend and her family have had a MD Primary Care. I've only had good experiences there for the past 5+ years myself and I think I've only seen a Dr. once or twice myself. It's easier to get an appointment with one of the nurse practitioners. That being said, Julie is the only person I will see anymore. I've been seeing her for at least 4 years now and can go to see her after a year of not being seen and she remembers everything about me and what we discussed the year before. She definitely has a way with people. Most of the time I go for Med-checks to get refills for my long term prescriptions, but for anything serious she refers me to a specialist. I've never heard the "Dr. Julie" thing there either. Can't say enough good about her.

I never she was a bad doctor. Just a few misdiagnoses with her and her sister and mom. I'm glad you guys are happy with her, I'm just speaking from the experiences. I feel NP's are not doctors for a reason.

M advice is to get an appointment in the morning or you will be waiting for some time. Every time I go I have to wait an hour at least. Dr. K is always behind schedule. One time I had to wait 3 hours. That is ridiculous. I should charge them for my time...And they didn't even wave the co pay for making me wait...Some service. Cant wait for AAMC to get here.

Hey Mike:
What is the difference between "many, many, many misdiagnosis' as you stated in your first post and "just a few" in your second. Make up your mind. Again, Julie at Maryland Primary Care is the best. I trust her with my life.
