Spring cleaning time is upon us and I could use your help. Anyone have a good suggestion for cleaning up all the gumballs in the yard?
The old owners raked them up to put around plants like mulch. We have so many that the kids can't go outside without twisting their ankles.
And no, I can't cut the trees down without upsetting the neighbors.
Any useful suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks, Crabby

are you talking about GUM or balls from a sweet gum tree?

Gumballs from a gumball tree, nothing sweet about any of it...

I have the same problem and tried the rental place on 50 to see if they have a lawn vaccuum, because I don't want to spend 700 dollars on something that might not work. Alas they don't have them. I want a solution too. Screw Wall Street plunges solve my gum ball problem

Bchevy, do you bag them with the ole' fashion method (make your wife rake them up)? or do you have a yard sweeper, snowblower or some other piece of power equipment?

My little gas blower does a pretty good job of rounding them up, I have a HUGE gum tree next to the garage and has TONS of gumballs every year.
I should try the old fashioned way!

Get some kids to pick them up for a fundraiser. Pay them a penny for each one.
