Thought it'd be interesting to see if anyone else on here uses a browser other than Internet Explorer.

I used to use Firefox...but it wouldn't work with the company forums I work for...so I switched to opera...then that stopped working on the forums...so I am back to IE 6...won't switch to IE7 because that just messed up everything. I really liked firefox... Barb

I don't like Firefox because it doesn't display most websites correctly, including mine!

Rich, then that probably means you're not using WC3-compliant code. Firefox sticks to standards; IE doesn't.
Chrome is Google's new browser. It is awesome. It loads faster, displays java correctly (I've had issues with this with Firefox), and uses less memory than either Firefox or Opera.

Chrome is nice but not there security-wise. IE isn't great but does have the settings to secure it (assuming it is configured and patched).

Google Chrome is the cat's meow for me..
I have heard the nay-sayers poo-pooing security, but I haven't had any trouble yet.. and let's face facts, most of the malicious code that gets unleashed on one's computer is the fault of the operator clicking on stupid pop-ups and unsolicited spam.. and/or visiting websites offering sleazy services...
Best regards, BC

Not so much my favorite, but the one I have to use is IE - it's a company laptop, not mine, so not a choice....
Would love to try some of the ones recommended here, tho', if given the option.

Also, for any who haven't updated to IE 8, it's a good step in the right direction in terms of standards-compliance. And if any of you are still using IE 6, definitely update!

Firefox for most things, IE for the one's that require it. I've read an article about the security flaws in Chrome and I don't use it. I also lock my car door in the driveway.
IE8 is available? I "upgraded" from IE6 to IE7 and was sorry for it later. It's working better now but I would take a look at IE8.
Firefox definitely uses a bunch of memory... wouldn't mind finding something more efficient.

I think Opera might be less memory-intensive than Firefox, but I'm not sure.
