We tried this place yesterday for the first time. What a dissapointment! We sat out on the patio/sunroom which had no atmosphere at all. The menu was very limited - and the food was expensive. Cost us $40 for 2 sandwiches and 1 cup of soup. Plus, you have to walk through a wall of cigarette smoke to get out. So, that was our lasting impression - stinky clothes and hair. I was under the impression that this place was on par with Annies or Fisherman's - not a chance.
Won't be going back!

Thomas,
That's very surprising. I haven't been there in a while, but it has always been very good. Their dinner menu is huge too and they always hve good daily specials - although I am only talking about dinner. I'm not sure about their lunch menu and specials. The "Crab Cake & half-rack of ribs" is my fav there... If you do try is again (and your really should), try sitting in the restaurant part and not the "Pincers Dock Bar" outdoor part. It's a different experience.

Yeah, I think “inconsistent” is a good term to describe Kentmorr. As far as food and service go. It's worth another trip.
The atmosphere is all outside. The marina and in the summertime, the beach.
The price is par with the guys up at Kent Narrows. Which seem to be more consistent.

Yeah, I gave up on Kentmorr awhile back, had several disappointments there. Price-wise Annie's can be about the same price but a lot better quality food; their 10oz sirloin or prime-rib is what I usually go for, and their twice-baked potato's are great!

Isn't Kentmorr Airport Food? Best try BWI next time around.

Annie's, my choices, I know other items can be very expensive but these are the two I usually choose from, and are a great value compared to Kentmorr.
TOP SIRLOIN STEAK (10 oz.) Certified Angus Beef Top Sirloin Char-broiled. $18.95 QUEEN CUT - $19.95 (prime-rib)
Kentmorr prices;
Rib Eye Steak - $19.99
Queen Cut - $20.99 (prime-rib)

I can go to Kentmoor and to Dinner for two under $50. I CAN'T do that at Annies.
apples and oranges
it's not airport food

According to Jake and his prices they compare. I did not come up with the prices he did. Kentmorr airport and Kentmorr Restaurant - its a joke (get it)

We were just disappointed - we thought we'd be getting an Annies-type experience, but didn't. And of course, we paid Annies-type prices.
Just taking it as a lesson learned - now we know not to go there.

I haven't been to Kentmorr in years. It's closer to the Jetty or Big Bats than Annies or Fisherman's.
We've been to Annies on several occasions without going over $50 by much if at all.

Kentmorr isn't at the same level as Annie's. I would put it with the "family" places like Sherridan's though. I haven't been into Sherridan's is some time, but the last few times I was there the cigarette smoke from the bar was pretty strong and even though it's an Irish restaurant, they were playing (sic) country music. The food was ok though, just not crazy about the atmosphere. Kentmorr has about the same quality food withought that dankness, but they are a bit more expensive. The same level though. I'd choose Kentmorr for the view alone.

Honestly I only go there during the warmer months when I can sit outside - I am not much for the inside atmosphere at Kentmorr - even is nice for lunch in the summer

Ok. I ate at Kentmorr tonight. I had the two crab cake dinner and little neck clams for an appetizer, and my wife had a greek salad and a garlic shrimp thing. Both were really good and the waitress was super-nice. Unfortunately they forgot my sides (2), but I really didn't need them. Kentmorr isn't "The Narrows" as far as food / service, but I don't think that it's supposed to be. It's a relaxed "family" place for good food, great view, and for families that might have a loud kid or two to go. I don't have kids, so I generally don't go here, but that's not saying that it isn't good. They don't advertise here, so I have no reason to tout them whatsoever, but like Lisa's Small Plates (who also isn't on here), it's one of the better places around the area. Kentmorr is also convienent to everyone that lives south of 50 down Route 8, which my guess is, there bread & butter. Definately worth a try, especially if you have kids.
