In the evenings I like to watch whatever game is on ESPN, WGN or the O's if they are on. I'm not glued to the game, sorta of multi-tasking with reading a book or doing some paperwork. If I miss something, I just rewind back on my DVR. Anyhow, for those of you out there watching baseball at home, have you noticed the lack of people sitting in the seats behind home plate. It's really noticeable this year for a lot of teams. It looks bad and has to be embarrassing.

Well, as far as the O's are concerned, it's years of neglect that have resulted in a team that has had dismal seasons. It's tough to shell out all that cash to see a game when you have so little to cheer. Then add in the economy, and I'm thinking that that's contributing to what you are seeing. Normally you don't see higher attendance until warmer weather, too, but I bet it's probably even worse this year. By the same token, it appears that the Yankees are having trouble selling seats (at those prices, well, DUH!!!) so I think it may be more widespread, but not sure. But I agree, it's pitiful to see no one sitting in the stands.
