Hi all,
We are having a family reunion on Kent Island because it's a perfect half way point for everyone. What is the best place for seafood there? We are looking for a general seafood place that has kind of everything. Looking at this site, it seems like it's between Annie's, Kentmorr, The Narrows, Fisherman's, Harris Crabs, Luke's, The jetty, and Hemmingways. For a party of about 30 people, which is a good place? Thanks very much.

What kind of atmosphere and cost are you looking for?
Annies's has seafood but is known for steaks. Luke's is a smaller place with good food but limited seafood selections.
Annie's and Narrows are far different in atmosphere than the Jetty or Fisherman's Crab Deck.
Kentmorr, Harris, and Fisherman's crab deck will have crabs, not sure about the others.
I would recommend against Hemmingways.

I like Annie's, Crab Deck and love the Narrows. But I actually think the best seafood is found at Kentmorr.

It does depend on the atmosphere that you are looking for. If you have kids and plan on being casual, Kentmorr is great. For semi-fancy, then The Narrows. They are all good, but those would be my two picks.

Harris' has a pavillion that they use for large groups that is outdoor and private. They also have a back room upstairs indoor/ air conditioned / private servers for private gatherings

I'm not crazy about Harris Crab House. A good amount of their stuff is fried, and their cream of crab soup is like pudding. It gets ridiculously crowded in season with tourists that don't know any better and the wait can be really long to get in. Fisherman's gets really crowded with tourists too, but it's not bad. For me, I like Annie's. They have party rooms as well too. The prices are a bit steep, but the quality has always been great. It's a big menu too and being also a steak house, something for everyone. If it's too pricey for you, then I would also say that Kentmorr is a good choice. Hemmingways used to be good, but not anymore. The last time that I was in there (about 6 months ago) it was dirty and just not what it used to be. They are having problems with their lease and I don't know if/when they are going to have to close. It's a shame because they used to be very good. Has anyone tried their newish restaurant over by Bayside/Queen's Landing?

I would have to say the Jetty or the Crab Deck.

You're kidding right? there's a whole 'nother thread on that joint somewhere. Wont catch me dead in there. High prices and no portions! As said earlier, it depends on the environment you are looking for. Fisherman's INN is nise too, they have a party room that we use for the car club and it's GREAT!
