Joe Wilson from South Carolina is my Hero! Sending the man some campaign cash from my stimulus check. Some time the truth just hurts!

That was completely disrespectful regardless of his feelings on the subject. There is a time and a place for everything, and that wasn't the time nor the place!

Ever seen those videos from some "other" countries where the politicians have shouting matches and sometimes break out into fist fights like a Jerry Springer episode. Aren't we better than that. Is there going to be shoes thrown in the future or worse............ I guess this guy has a slot now on the 2012 ticket.

There couldn't have been a more perfect venue to call barry out. But, we expect our American males to be a timid, neutered bunch of yes men quietly nodding their disapproval. And, as for the person who called Republicans tea partiers "loonies" CHECK THE NEWS TODAY!--anti-abortion protester MURDERED, in cold blood, in the streets. But the Republicans are crazy?

Sound words bobomalone!
The current state of polarized politics reminds me of the ways some couples end up when getting a divorce. After realizing that it can not be reconciled......it becomes a game of spite and resentment. It doesn't matter what the cost is or the outcome as long as that b$tch or b$stard is not going to end up being happier then me. I'll fight every suggestion or compromise so I win in the end. Things are said to the children to win their loyalty (love) while at the same time trying to turn their love against their own mother or father.
It's a sad state of affairs.

Am I the only one who thinks this kind of nonsense is nuts?? You're not the only one. Getting your voice heard and expressing your concerns is part of the American system. Disrupting meetings and preventing any other opinion to be heard is counter-productive. When it becomes obvious public meatings are useless, the public will no longer be invited to give their opinion. We're close to that today.

When it becomes obvious public meatings are useless, the public will no longer be invited to give their opinion. We're close to that today. So true..... It's one of the reasons I'm not going to attend the Terrapin park meetings until some guidelines on what the goal is so it doesn't turn into a shouting match. Came across these today concerning the heckler and crystallizes my thoughts exactly. This is from Morris Fiorina, a political scientist at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. "Some saw Wilson's outburst as a sign of the fraying of the nation's social fabric. It's a new low for the contemporary era. Some politicians seem to be adopting radio talk shows hosts and cable TV commentators as their role models." So true..... Also, from Rep. John Lewis of Georgia. He's worried that Wilson's outburst might give license for even worse behavior. "If it's OK for a member of Congress to do this, what are other people in the community going to do" That scares me....

I'm no fan of Obama, but they weren't in the House of Commons (although I do enjoy watching the BBC for coverage of that) where outbursts like that are accepted. He should have shown some respect to the event, the president, his fellow congressmen, and most importantly to the American people watching at home.

"If it's OK for a member of Congress to do this, what are other people in the community going to do" That scares me.... Yeah they might start acting like Congressmen, cheating on their wives & taxes, exempting themselves from laws, and giving contracts based on bribes (oops, those are "campaign conributions")
