Please help! I've lost my digital camera (a Kodak easy share DX4330) and my camcorder (a Canon ZR85). I believe I drove off with them on my bumper. They would have fallen off somewhere between Addison Court (in the Community of Clayborne Woods in Chester), Cross Creek Court, Dominion Road, Rt 18 to the new KI Safeway. The last time I saw them was on the bumper at 6 pm on Tues. 6/5/07. I drove to Safeway around 9:15 am on Wed. 6/6/07.
The video camera has an hour worth of video of my daughter and son from Easter to my daughters first birthday (this past weekend). The last minute of tape is of my son riding his tricycle for the first time. The camera would have a few pictures of my daughter on her birthday, and my son riding his tricycle.
I really want those memories back. I am offering a reward for the return of the cameras and video tape/memory card.
Please contact me if you have any information. 410-643-3363 Thank you.
Nikki

Common sense and physics would tell Nikki...
Something on rear bumper + going backwards = falls off in drive way
and
Something on rear bumper + in Chester + at night = GONE and at a pawn shop or Tyrone's basement

I hope you find your cameras. You never know; stranger things have happened.

I still haven't heard anything about my cameras. Does anyone have any other suggestions what I can do? I've posted reward signs on the route I took. I've emailed almost everyone I know on the island. I've given my entire neighborhood fliers. I've called a few pawn shops here, Easton, Cambridge and Annapolis. I've walked the entire route I took looking in storm gutters from my house to the safeway.
Should I put up posters just to please return the memory card and tape, no questions asked?

Nikki, Human decency (more appropriately, the lack thereof) is stretching it for the cameras. However, perhaps whoever it was would be willing to return the media (tapes, discs, or cards)... I'd ask for a no questions asked return on those alone, and write off the cameras, as they have some value. A "Cash" reward, no questions asked, is more likely to yield results.
Good luck.

Nikki, one thing you may want to do is keep it on one thread. Or take an ad in your local newspaper's lost and found. I really don't think that whomever found your stuff, browses this board.

I don't think who ever took it looks at this board either, but if people can just pass the word along, it may get to someone who knows someone.
I did put an ad in the Update but it won't come out until next week.
Thanks.

There are still some honest people around! I got my two cameras back!
A man named Craig who works for the county found them Wed. morning sitting on my court. He said they looked damaged from all the rain. He took them home and tried to dry them out. A friend of his saw one of my reward signs and he called me!
The camera memory card was blank (I guess from the rain), but the camera functions normally.
The camcorder wasn't working (battery dead) when I got it. After I plugged it in it came on but wouldn't play the tape. It would show a picture on the screen if I put it in camera mode but nothing for viewing. It would rewind and fast forward the tape. So I took the tape to Kmart and tried it in another camera. It is all there! My kids easter, our family vacation and my daughters first birthday party!
So I'll probably have to get another camcorder but who cares at this point I got the most important part back ... the tape!
Thanks for all your concern and well wishes.
Nikki
