The joke is on the rest of the legal citizens in our country. How free are you if others are above the law? The law is upside down.

Above the law? don't you think it is a little excessive? Her celebrity status is what got her the new sentence not got her off any. A good lawyer is a good lawer. I have known some who have done a lot more than she did and served their sentences on house arrest.

Oh come one now ljp... She violated her probation 2 times before which is why she got sentenced!!! Good for the cop that said - yeah i know who you are and you're still being charged! Had that been me or you - violated the 1st time - we would have gotten all of the original sentence... and i'm sure it wouldn't have been 45 days...
good for that officer & judge!! Maybe she'll realize that she's not above the law cause of the $$ her daddy has & in turn her...

But due to her status and in lieu of the attention and the apparent extra costs to the county for her incarceration, couldn't she have spent it on house arrest? Why does she need to be in jail for driving on a suspended license? Yes a lot of people do, but the ones with good lawyers don't go to jail if they can afford the fees associated with house arrest. She may not be famous for anything other then being famous, she may have a lot of money and think she is above the rest of us. But we all know that the reason she is back behind bars vs. house arrest is because of those things. There have been many other inmates all over TV that said that building was over crowded and that a lot of inmates are sleeping on the floor. I don't get it. Yes there should be punishment for her but putting someone as fragile as her behind bars I think will do more TO her than FOR her in the long run. Like I said before I know of a lot of people who have done far worse things than she and have served their sentences on house arrest. Let me tell you that is no picnic. If you have ever known anyone who served that way you will understand, it is a little tease of freedom with higher restrictions.
The L.A. paper did some research and found out that if she serves her 45 days behind bars, then she will have been given more punishment that 80% of the people who have committed the same crime. And if she serves only 23 days behind bars then she will have been given more punishment that 60% of the people who have committed the same crime. Were these statistics given to those screaming at the LA County jail system that she is being given priority status over the African American arrestees?
After learning that I sort of feel sorry for her.

Feel sorry for her? Why? Again, it breaks down to she broke the law. And if she didn't violate her probation, and suspension, she deserves what she gets. Her money, and celebrity status should not be taken into account. She was sentenced to 45 days, and they were already talking about her probably having to serve less than that, due to the overcrowding. Bottom line? Not everyone can afford that "great" lawyer.

AMEN kl!!!!!!!!!! Feel sorry for her??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ?? That girl has more money than she knows what to do with & yet continues to screw up because she KNOWS she'll get off!!!!!!!!! What lesson does she learn when daddy pays the really expensive attorney and whoever else & she walks without mention? The lesson is this: DADDY WILL KEEP PAYING SO I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!!!!!!!! PLEASE.... GIVE ME A BREAK - FEEL SORRY FOR HER? ?

Thats funny, I know of some daughters here on KI that have there daddy's pay to get them out of trouble time and time again. Ace Allen is one of the best enablers around these parts.
