I now feel for anyone with the name "BOB". Bob Hope, Bob Barker, Billy "BOB" Thornton, SpongeBOB, etc, etc.............never had this much publicity......... Got BOB's trash must now be the most talked about Bob in the mid-Atlantic region, if not nationally Looks like there's plenty of feedback to make a decision on your trash removal provider - make your decisions and be done with it, jeeeesh!

i'll stoke some ires here on this one, no personally i do not have anything against bob's...except -
that they have not come true to KI residents as to exactly who they are...why the sham, why the clouds of suspicion, why pretend??? and why (though they tried to explain)...those budget rental trucks... LESS SEEN LATELY, GO KI...
something just isn't right in trash town here... I SAY GO AMERICAN, HONEST HARD WORKING PEOPLE, and while i don't subscribe to their service (i just don't generate enough, and my newspapers and other recycle-ables go elsewhere down here), my neighbors believe in AMERICAN...
sorry bob, but something still is not right here on KI w/you guys, sorry, but i believe time will prove that true

Hey Sorry we have been busy and haven't checked in for a while. I seemed to have missed a lot exciting stuff. I do enjoy the witty banter on here, fun stuff. And of course the free advertising.
Who we are? We are Bob's, a new trash company on the island. Not sure what we are hiding or pretending about. We rented at Uhaul the last few times.
We now have almost 700 of your neighbors as happy customers and we are growing fast.
Give us a call, 4105714104.
Bob
ps Our deal is the same as when we started and comes with a 2 yr price guarantee. Funny how our competition all of a sudden has substantially lower operating costs and can drop their prices. Where has that extra cash been going? Anyway, here it is.
$25 curbside pickup of trash and recycling
*free bulk item pickup *free containers *no fees or surcharges, flat rate

I would imagine any reputable business would issue a refund for unused service. Give us a call to get setup.

Seems to me its just one of those company's trying to act like its one of your local company's trying to make a dollar but in reality its another company trying to take over the east coast. Based out of VA they are not local. I will say they are giving out good deals now, But hopefully they will stay with the good deals and will not try to run out the local company's and then everyone will have no choice but to pay their high price's. I hope that's not the case, Only time will tell. I have seen them rolling around in these u-haul vehicles meaning they are not very well established in the area and may not be staying around very long. In the mean time i wish them well as a business and hope they treat everyone fair.

Ive answered those and many other questions quite clearly, you should try reading some of my other posts. Maybe you are right and Va is invading or maybe we are just a couple of guys that liked the area and saw an opportunity to start a business. You are right we were both born somewhere else, what about you? Ian lives in Annapolis with his wife, Seth has a house in Harrisonburg(the address has been posted in you want to stop by for a beer), but he lives in Alexandria with his girlfriend. Seth will be moving to the island in the spring. Need to know more? Maybe to keep costs down we rent when we need something. It also seems like i have a higher opinion of you neighbors than you do. We are simply offering excellent service at a fair price, something that the area seemed to be lacking. Looking at my customer list, id say we are doing something right. I guess time will tell.

Someone PLEASE help me understand all of this.......... The "Local Islandites" are complaining because a new TRASH service has emerged here on "Their" island. The complaints vary from TRASH being picked up in a rental truck, the TRASH being taken back to be dumped in VA, etc..... This is the part that confuses me: a) Why does everyone care WHAT TYPE of vehicle picks up their TRASH b) Why does everyone care WHERE this company takes and DUMPS their TRASH? c) Shouldn't we be PRAISING somone for taking our TRASH somewhere FAR AWAY to dump?? ANOTHER thing, the last time I checked K-Mart, Ledo's, Food Lion, Safeway, Acme, McDonalds, Hardee's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Tuesday Morning, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Ace Hardware, True Value, Bank of America, M&T Bank, Shell, Citgo, Texaco, Cracker Barrel, Subway, Radio Shack, Dairy Queen, Blockbuster, Valero, Dunkin Donuts, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, 7-Eleven, Papa Johns, Bank of ANNAPOLIS, Amoco, Ram's Head Tavern, Quiznos, Adam's Ribs, Mr. Tire, Western Marine, and Dollar General DID NOT START ON THE "ISLAND"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So unless you are: Buying your morning coffee at Waterman Joes, or JPJ. Buying ALL of your produce from a roadside stand. ONLY eating out at Fisherman's, Luke's, R's, Big Bat's, The Narrow's, Kentmoor, Kent Manor Inn, Harris's Crab House, Mrs. B's, and Love Point Deli. Doing ALL of your Christmas shopping in Old Town Stevensville. Buying your tires from Mr. Willis. Getting your drink on at Red Eye's, No Place, The Jetty or the Crab Deck. THEN YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Frankly, I PREFER for someone to pick up our TRASH and take it somewhere else to dump, rather than FILL up OUR Landfills! I am a little slow, due to the migraines that I have been experiencing since the start of football season. So if someone can please explain this S-L-O-W-L-Y to me, I would greatly appreciate it.

You forget to mention Meredith's Restaurant in Grasonville, now that some local flavor for you. Hmmmmm, Haven't heard of that one.......... It is the seafood restaurant that is not on the waterside of Main Street in Grasonville, I think they have fishing charters. If you leave The Jetty and take a right at the Stop Sign like you are going to Parks Tire and Auto, it is right there on the left before Oyster Cove.

Meredith's is right across the street on 18 from the stinky crap house pump station. The sign on the road says bloodworms, island queen fishing charters. Yes folks, there is a restaurant there. Everyone should man up and eat there at least once or by accident like I did. Aim low to avoid disappointment, though the food is not bad. Country style type eats. They are only open during "fishing" hours or something like that.
