I am not sure how to even comment on this rumor...
Pop star Michael Jackson on the Shore?
By The Star Democrat
ST. MICHAELS — Officially, no one would say Thursday that Michael Jackson, the erstwhile “King of Pop,” was in the area. Neither, however, would anyone deny the talk.
Privately, inside sources reported that Jackson was not only staying at the Inn at Perry Cabin, he might be looking to buy land in Talbot or Queen Anne’s counties.
Julia Barnes, a spokesman for the Inn at Perry Cabin, said the hotel is not in the habit of giving away guest information and de-clined to comment on the matter.
The St. Michaels Police Department and the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office said they had not heard of Jackson being in the area.
The Star Democrat heard from confidential sources that Jackson was staying at the inn, though the atmosphere outside the inn Thursday afternoon hardly resembled the scene outside the California courthouse where his 2005 trial for molestation charges occurred (Jackson was cleared on all counts).
Tipsters also identified three palatial estates in Talbot and Queen Anne’s counties that Jackson was supposedly interested in viewing. Phone calls to the real estate agents also were not returned.
According to West Coast media reports, Jackson’s representative confirmed Wednesday that Jackson is moving out of a rented Las Vegas mansion today, when his $1 million lease on the property expires. The spokes-man, Raymone Bain, also denied rumors that Jackson was planning to move out of the country, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
