Please help. I'm looking for a reasonably priced plumber, electrician, and carpenter. I do not want a "handyman" service and have been burned in the past. Please post if you know someone that can do any of these services "off hours" from their normal job OR that do these services full time.

I highly recommend Palmer's Plumbing out of Queenstown. The guy just went out on his own in January but has over 10 years of experinece in the trade. He is very reasonable plus I have seen a coupon for $20 off in the QAC Update weekly paper.

Get a tape and a saw for carpentry. You then do not have to worry about the plumbing and electric price. If it burns down or floods you'll regret the cheapest price.

I didn't see ayone mention cheapest price up there.
Stay away from the tape and saw if you don't know what to do with them, it will cost you more in the long term. Same with trying your own plumbing and electric. I've seen and fixed some very scary Harry Homeowner electrical work before, and some by other "companies".
3 words. Licensed, Bonded, and Insured.

What I have found, more often than not, is that when you pay the cheapest price - you get what you pay for. No one gets a brain surgeon for minimum wage! If you want quality work, be ready to pay something reasonable for it...not cheap. And yep...BChevy's three words are the ones to look for...Licensed, Bonded and Insured. Experience is another good one

there were issues with the floor, so i had to get a carpenter out (myco construction services) (they had to remove and replace a section of floor). today was the big day. palmer came in today, then myco, then palmer. all nicely coordinated. nicely done by nice guys. care was taken. the whole thing started at about 8:30, and was done by about 2:30. i am a happy camper! thanks lovenlife for the recommendation; thanks jason and mike for the jobs well done!

Palmer's Plumbing came out to my new property and spent 30 minutes free of charge answering my questions and measuring spaces for a new soaker tub...We will definitely be using them in the future...Very professional.
