I noticed a "Goose Egg" popping out of one of the tires on Wifey Poo's 2005 Chrysler Pacifica last week. EARLY the next morning I started calling ALL of the local tire shops looking for a set of 4 new ones.
WELL........ The rim that Chrysler uses for this model was a 19" rim. I soon found out that this is an "Unusual" size. NOT ONE tire shop in the area (Annapolis to Easton) stock this size. ALL said that they could have it to me in 2-3 days. The Chrysler dealer in Easton said if I ordered it by 10am., they could have it in the shop by 3:00pm.
The LAST ad that I came across in the phonebook (YES I still have one of these, and know how to use it ;D) was for a place named Bay Bridge Tire & Auto. I had no idea there was a shop there, and I have purchased gas from this place several times. I called and talked to Rick, he took my info and said he would call me back. I figured, "Another dead end". 15 mins. later Rick called back and said he could have all 4 tires in around lunch time. I said fine and waited for his call. Approx. 2hrs. later (10am) Rick called back and said the tires were in.
I arrived at the shop, and Rick said he would call when the car was ready. I told him I had to wait, since the wife was at work with our other veh. I waited around 15 mins. and then took a walk around the outside of the shop area. I noticed that my car had been pulled in to the tire bay and the guys already had the tires pulled off. I spoke with one of the techs., and he told me that Rick had pulled all of them off of what they were doing and put the entire crew on my car, in order for them to finish before they broke for lunch.
I was the only customer that they had that day, who had to wait there for their car.
Rick and his team had me in and out with 4 new tires balanced and mounted in about an hour!!
Before I left I asked Rick how many empolyees were working in the shop that day, and they were all pleasantly suprised when I dropped lunch off for them all!!
Not only did they do a great job with their customer service, they also were the cheapest out the door.
THANKS to Rick and all of his crew at Bay Bridge Tire & Auto!!
On Postal road across from Baker's Liquors.
