www.peaceofcake.info/Our little black lab Chloe is going to be 1 year old this Saturday that we adopted from ARF. I thought why not ask.... so we went by today and they are going to make doggie cookies for dogs for us! We are going to bring some by ARF for all of the dogs in need of a future home. I'll let you know how the dogs like the doggie cookies. I know, I'm crazy, and so grateful for all of our 3 dogs. Now if I can only get my husband put on one of those cone party hats to sing Happy Birthday ! ;D K-Mart has party hats with paw prints on, paper plates with a dog face stating "do we have cake"? and plastic bags that are labeled "doggie bags" with a face of a puppy on them! If anyone needs a doggie caterer party, please let me know! Meanwhile Peace of Cake's new website is fantastic, and you can see how truly creative these girls are! -CG

Well, we picked up our Chloe's cookies from peace of cake today. They also made some people cookies that look the same. Our little Chloe took her cookies to ARF to share with all of the dogs for future homes, and she wore her paw print cone birthday hat! ARF had a birthday present for her too. What great ladies that volunteer there. The best part of our visit was that some of the ladies were enjoying the people cookies, and one lady who is a regular volunteer there, well, she ate a doggie cookie! I guess it tasted ok, but we hope that she doesn't lift her leg at fire hydrants! -CG

I finally finally finally bought my very first cake from Piece of Cake. I've heard everyone on here mention how wonderful they are and OMG you are soooo right. It was the best cake I've ever had and will continue to get my cakes from them on special occasions. Now I just have to work off what I ate

It isn't the woman that lives in Cloverfields that has been making special order cakes for years is it?

We LOVE the cakes from Peace of Cake -- 4 so far -- YUM! Only at a local shop like this do you get unmatched quality AND people that are so pleasant to deal with.
For our dogs, we get the dipped doggie biscuits they have at Oh My Chocolate, which are done in the dog-safe white chocolate.

either on this thread or another (i think the posts were deleted), some of you were laughing at and ridiculing - for getting dog cookies, and yet here is someone else. i can't help but be curious if the ridicule is something applied universally, or if it was only for the benefit of - . it seemed very unfair. and if people want to pamper their pets, so what?
btw, what a great shop!
oh--i see "city-girl's" name where i typed it was deleted. i wonder if this will show up. what is up with that? her name can't even be mentioned?

Yeah, it's just the illusion of pampering your pets, really. They love the chocolate dog biscuits we get, but the truth is that if we tossed them a severed finger instead they'd probably react the same way. Dogs just love to eat.

I saw the fruit tarts last weekend for the first time. I already told my daughter that's what I want for my birthday cake. I can't wait to try it!
