I am so sick and tired of seeing children in bars! Ramshead has a family restaurant side; and this is where the children should be. You walk inside and their playing pool (scratching the table), shooting riffles (there goes our neighbor and schools) and not to mention running through the restaurant. I have stopped going to ramshead simply because of that. Where is social service when you need them? Because i know a beer joint is not in the best interest of a child! Obviously these are parents who are not ready to be parents; because true parents keep their children out of beer joints. Wait until your children are latch key, older enough or grow to start the bar scene again. Just my opinion! I did. I applaud the restaurants that says no under 21 in the bar area. Those are the businessess i will support. --- www.convertcase.net

At the risk of a karma smack, I agree...
There is an old adage:
"No matter how hard you try, your kids grow up to be just like you... and sometimes a lot sooner than you planned"
Best regards, BC

I really don't think my 9 year old needs to be playing around in a bar. Heck...people go to the bar to get away from their kids....its a social place for Adults (well...some of them are Adults...some are not quite there yet)

I agree and disagree, depends on the type of restaurant and time of day... I would not have my 14 and 10 year old in the bar at Big Bats in the evening. If we were to go and the restaurant side was busy, and it was in the afternoon, then yeah, we would sit on the bar side(as long as it wasnt alot of people in there drinking) Faster service.

I feel like I can't be casual in there.. now we don't go to ramshead often - it was a spur of the moment both times. bats on the other hand - we used to go to alot... and yes - if the restaurant side was busy, we would sit in the bar if it wasn't late & crowded at a table as far away from the bar as we could get... but in regards to bats... in my experience - we have ALWAYS gotten better service in the bar area than in the restaurant! plus the do not offer the same "specials" in the restaurant areas... which kinda stinks... we went once for the wings - they were having some sort of special that a friend told us about.. so had been looking forward to it all day (you knwo where you can actually taste them) get there... sit at restaurant - special is for bar patrons only... ask if we can sit there cause it was like 3 or so... no cause we had kid w/ us... however - i don't like having kids in a bar... we typically don't when we go out to eat in a place that has both like bats or ramshead... but there have been a few occasions (mentioned above) that we have... but i can certainly tell you - my kids weren't running around - if they left the table - it was to go to the bathroom...
