I live in Baltimore and would appreciate some resturuant recommendations from locals who live on the Eastern Shore as I am planning a crab feast with some friends to be held in August. The area I am most interested in is anywhere between Kent Island and Trappe. Who has the BEST crabs...great service....great atmosphere (would love to sit outside on a deck if posssible. Leave it to the locals to know where the BEST places are. ;D

Crab Claw in St. Michaels is nice... been there a few times w/ work functions! As far as local - haven't really been out for crabs - went to Harris' a few weeks back - crabs were pretty good... but we just typically buy them & feast at home...

Someone I know recommended Kentmore too. I've heard negative stuff about Crab Claw and I've been to Harris Crab House. Thought it was just okay. Any thoughts about Hemmingways? shorti....how do you feel about having me and my 15+ peeps over to your house for our crab feast?

I have not been to Hemmingways in years and never for crabs. Another on would be the Crab Deck they are pretty good as well but I would stick with Kentmorr... Good Luck

Not sure how you can beat Harris crab house. They keep them coming, the crabs are hot and the beer is cold. Hillside is ok at best, and not much room.

What I remember most about Harris Crab house was their outstanding Long Island Iced Tea and frozen cheesecake on a stick...LOL

Crab Claw was always a winner, but I haven't eaten crabs "over there" in a while, so I'm sure that the locals know better than I.
