Please post your experiences with this resturaunt. Good, bad, and everything in between. I am in charge of setting up a crab feast and want to get input from the locals.

I like the food and service there, it is good. But I have never had crabs there. Harris' and Kentmor are also good options.

they just started serving crabs there every weekend--but they do crab feasts as well--always nice esp if the weather cooperates!! And you can't beat the view no matter the weather --I would highly recommend them--ask to sit downstairs/outside on Lola's deck which is under shade just in case of heat--have fun!

If you want to plan a crab feast and want it to go smoothly, handled professionally and not be dissapointed.....go with Fisherman's Crab Deck. If your not familiar with it, it's in the Kent Narrows, on the water, very large covered crab eating type area, good staff, large menu, good facilities, a seafood shack, etc. If it's just for me and my wife, they are not my first choice for other reasons. But, I have had out of town fussy relatives (12 total) and large business meetings there. They do a good job.

I can only say that Lolas service is the worst ever experienced. Last night it took 20 minutes to get first drink and I left after trying to order 2nd drink. Either they get better bartenders or hire more. They had a beer tub and then closed it when it got even more busy. The worst experience I have ever had at a bar.

meemzy...I hope we have as good an experience as you had. I talked to someone at Hemingways this morning and he suggested we sit at Lola's. So, the reservation for that area is made. I've heard more good things than bad about Hemingways. The guy on the phone couldn't have been nicer and more helpful this morning. My husband and I plan on going there for dinner one Saturday evening and check the place out in advance of the crab feast.
junior...I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Hopefully that was just a fluke and not the norm for Hemingways.
