Nothing illegal can operate for very long without Police, Judiciary, or Political protection. Illegal drugs is the fuel that fires the crime problem that is ruining our country. The head of any large Police Agency has the information that is needed to fight the problem. Will Commissioner Ham keep his mouth shut now that he is retired like others have. Example = Col. Ed Norris M.S.P., Col. Mitchell M.S.P., Col. Hutchins M.S.P., Sheriff Crossley Q.A.Co., Captain Marty Kinght M.S.P., Maj. Panos M.S.P. just to name a few.

Kind of like the new sheriff's business partner whose house was raided a few months ago in Queenstown for drugs. Hmmmm, never heard about that one in the paper either huh!

IMHO - the way to "fight" the war on drugs...
legalize... tax the hell out of it... take away the majority of the crime associated w/ it... better ability to monitor - look at alcohol - cigarettes - make rules to govern them -
the taxes we could collect on them could really help w/ the national debt i'm sure...
I dont' advocate the use of drugs, but d**n - wake up... liquor WAS illegal - and there was crime w/ that - now it's legal... and governed, etc...
Juct my 2 cents....

Agreed Chevy. Billions spent by our government on this so called war on drugs. Am I the only one not shocked to hear that the poppy growth in Afghanistan has tripled since our troops have been there on the Osama hunt? Look at Mexico, that has become a great place for drug shipments from Columbia, then hauled over here to the U.S.A. Tax it, govern it, creat treatment centers.....

While I'm not in favor of making it legal, I am in favor of doing something DIFFERENT than what's been done for the last 50+ years.
IT AINT WORKING

Back in the 90's there were a few guys I went to school with busted with Weed on rt18 by the 4-H park in Centreville by a lone officer. When charges were filed the amounts reported were short 2lbs. Of course they didn't tell the Judge and accepted the charges as they stood (for 1lb) which eventually got thrown out for illegal search and seizure.

Seems like I heard about that back then. Wasn't that a deputy that did that? Yup, his last name rhymed with OHMANN (think D.A.R.E.) ........The other guy that was famous for doing stuff like this had a father who served as QA Sheriff for a while (he left us Queenstown boys alone cause he had the K.I. territory).
