We have our cable and internet with Atlantic Broadband and love them. I can't think of one time in the past 2 years that our cable has been out and the internet is down less than once a month - if that.
We don't have the phone service with them - although, I'm going to look into it after the first of the year. They do offer a package deal of all three.

Is the cable like regular cable tv or is it like Direct TV where there are hundreds of channels. I never had good reception on the lower channels with regular cable. My friend has Vonage or Atlantic phone and hates it. That could be faulty wiring though and not the phone service.

Can't help you on DSL, but if you can't get cable, it's unlikely that you'll be able to get DSL in your location.
I have Atlantic Broadband and have been pretty happy, with the exception of when they had to run a new cable from the head end to the house. It took them MONTHS to come out to bury the cable. I'm using Vonage and have been for several years. Never had a problem with them, and the record keeping that's available with them is WONDERFUL!

DSL is not a problem but regular cable tv from the local cable company is the pitts and basic package is more then basic package with Directv. I saw something for $99 for all 3 for 2 yrs but did not catch the company.

We have Atlantic Broadband for cable, internet, and phone. We're happy with all of it. HOWEVER, YMMV greatly! There are others on here who have reported very bad experiences with ABB.
For us, DSL was not an option. I believe that cable internet speeds can be greater than DSL, but I have no first-hand experience with that.

Speed tests show 3 meg with Atlantic BB on a download, upload speed is a lot slower since they don't want you serving to the Internet.... You can check your speed here: www.speedtest.net/US speeds suck. We're far behind when it comes to Internet access.

I have never downloaded a movie or burned a CD and I have never played an interactive game but I still need DSL, it is not even worth it trying to connecting to dialup.

I am the weird one!! I have direct TV, Atlantic BB for internet, verizon for landline and at&t for cell phones!!
I like to spread it around!!!!
As far as Cable for internet, it's faster than Verizon's DSL.
We had DSL over in Germany.....whee doggies...was that thing fast!!!!

As far as Cable for internet, it's faster than Verizon's DSL. I've had both and they are pretty much the same. Uploading speed for dsl is much better since you don't have to share the bandwidth. Plus I pay 14.99 for my dsl? cable was 39.99 I think

OK, so it's not local but had to vent...
I've used Vonage for phone service for 3+ years. Love it. BUT God help you if there's a hardware issue!
I spent 3 and a half hours on the phone with Bangalore this morning, most of it on hold. Of course calling from a cell phone, Nextel, with their crappy service here dropping.... Finally told them either fix it NOW or cancel the phone service. Once more transfer and got the accounts people. Ran through the entire story, told her to cancel the friggin' thing, and she says, oh, well I can send you another router and give you a free month...
Well THANK YOU! That was I was trying to do for the previous 3 hours. I ** KNOW ** the router is bad. Read the docs at Linksys's site. Rebooted, reconfigured all that... It's what I do for a stinkin' living for crying out loud!
Just gotta love outsourcing....

Verizon people drives me nuts on the phone. I would rather have the young 20's rude kid that is playing video games that can fix my problem in less than 2 minutes without going through all the bull. Press 2 for English.

If you have Verizon phone service, you can also get a discount with DirecTV - it's their way of "bundling" in areas where they don't have FiOS yet.
