Malvo was just an impressionable kid at the time. 16 maybe and probably not the brightest Crayola in the box.
At the time, I was on a temporary project at one of our depots in Silver Spring. You could see the terror in the eyes of the folks that had to go out and hit the streets. These are guys that work out in the middle of the road working on water mains and walking up and down the streets reading meters. These are folks that usually fear nothing and face danger every day but not that kind of crap.

On Malvo- I agree with his sentence...he was a young boy at the time he was influenced by Muhammad. I have a 16 year old son, and I am aware at this age, these kids look to adults as authority figures. They do what they are told, right or wrong, especially if they are isolated, and "brain washed" with a bunch of bull. YES, I am SURE, he KNEW what he was doing was wrong...no excuse for his crimes. The severity, for thought, and mercilessness of his crimes, DO make me agree with the sentence...however, I also think HE was a victim of Muhammad, as well.

The sniper shootings were a scary and unnerving time. He got the just punishment for the crime he committed. Justice has been served. One more thing, justice should have happened a little sooner. The shootings did take place in 2002, with the trial in 2003.

I seriously remember shatting bricks when that kid was shot in Bowie. Why is this victim not listed on most websites stating the list of victims? I lived around the corner from Tasker Middle School at the time, very scary. Every time I drove by I wondered where he/they were parked to try to get a clear shot to the children.
