One thing for sure....Someone is making money on them, and you can bet a corrupt capitalist, with the help of corrupt politicians, are at the heart of the matter. Nothing illegal can exist without Police, or Political protection. Nothing!....What's your take on this illegal activity?

Boy, this is going to get ugly for sure.
IMO, once illegals have "penetrated" the border, there is nothing much more you can do about them. We can hardly ask local law enforcement to arrest them and haul them to jail. We ask law enforcement to catch thieves, drug dealers, abusers, and speeders in our communities. How can they be expected to deal with all the illegals also.
Illegals are like ants (and no, not in the little gross bug sense), you arrest one or a few and 10-20 more rush into the void to take their places.
To be sure, if businesses didn't hire them, they probably wouldn't stay around. I recently had a contractor who had a number of hispanics working for him, and I asked why. Truth is, he cant find reliable, hardworking local people to fill his positions.
Until young people get their heads out of their Xboxes, and Playstations, and are willing to actually work for a living, immigrants of one shape or form will be here to fill the jobs that we Americans view as "beneath us".
That said, you go through a town like Georgetown DE on the way to the Delaware beachs and you can see the impact of a growing immigrant community. I've never seen so many for sale signs in one place in my life. You can be sure home values have fallen substantially there. Its really gone downhill in a hurry. Too bad.

I received this a while back and thought it would be a good time to post it:
Subject: Immigration Laws
1. Only professionals or investors can immigrate to the country. No unskilled laborers will be allowed in. Investors must be able to invest at least 40,000 times the daily average wage. If they can't, they are not allowed in.
2. Immigrants may purchase property, but locations and availability will be limited. Ocean front property cannot be purchased by immigrants. It is exclusively for citizens born in the country.
3. Immigrants cannot vote nor can they be elected to any public office.
4. Immigrants cannot collect any type of government assistance.
5. Immigrants cannot protest the countries government, policies or president.
6. Immigrants cannot display a flag of a foreign country.
7. Immigrants who have illegally entered the country will be found and imprisoned.
Sound kind of harsh?
Well, these are laws that are currently part of the Immigration Laws of, you guessed it, MEXICO!!!

We ask law enforcement to catch thieves, drug dealers, abusers, and speeders in our communities. How can they be expected to deal with all the illegals also. And it's the opinions just like that that let it get this bad in the 1st place. This is America, we CAN clean it up if WE want to. How can Law Enforcement deal with illegals? (note: It's part of their JOB) MANY of the "thieves, drug dealers, abusers, and speeders in our communities" ARE ILLEGALS. Many jurisdictions have orders NOT to "bother them" or even to inquire about the immigration status. With goofballs like that making the rules- WE ARE DOOMED.
To be sure, if businesses didn't hire them, they probably wouldn't stay around. I recently had a contractor who had a number of hispanics working for him, and I asked why. Truth is, he cant find reliable, hardworking local people to fill his positions. Business owners need to be JAILED for hiring illegals. Not fined as this is not enough. They can make up the fines in their next jobs. It's plain and simple, take away the jobs, illegal are a problem no more.
TRUTH IS: he cant find reliable, hardworking local people to fill his positions AT THE PAY HE CAN GET AWAY WITH FOR ILLEGALS! Until young people get their heads out of their Xboxes, and Playstations, and are willing to actually work for a living, immigrants of one shape or form will be here to fill the jobs that we Americans view as "beneath us". The "young people" aren't in charge yet. It's up to the parent on this one to make their kids WORK, to EARN their xboxes and playstations, learn a work ethic that is sorely missing right nowIllegals ARE killing this country, literally AND physically.

Outlaw, The deputies will also solve this problem for you as well because thats out job too. Perhaps I can come over and raise your family members and pay all your bills because it's my job to make you happy and solve all your problems. We will get right on that immigrant problem. We will round up all the illegals and just drop them back off in Mexico. Hey, do we look like immigration agents. Do the deputies ride around in a white and green vehicle that reads INS. News flash sweetie, thats not our job to rid the county or country with the illegals.

Deputy Dumb Dumb, I have no idea what you are talking about and don't recall ever asking any deputies to pay my bills, have anything to do with my family (eww) or do anything to illegal immigrants. Perhaps you need to drink some more coffee or splash some cold water on your face. If that fails to snap you out of your stupor, seek help from your employee assistance program for your hallucinations. If you are experiencing urges to hurt yourself or others, please turn in your weapons until you are well. Feel better soon!

NOTHING is the Deputy's job, that's why NOTHING gets done.
Fine job Mr. Deputy sir, keep it up.
Can we just mail your paycheck to you? I'd hate to inconvenience you by actually showing up on payday to collect your check.

Hear, hear Outlaw and Chevy. Deputies' remarks are beyond ignorant. Sky watcher, you'll have my vote. Sure beats our elected officials who are currently in office, and their inactions!!!

"Deputy" can feel free to pay my bills if it makes him happy. I pray for his triumph during his struggle with insanity.
Just as I shouldn't bother to read the Bay Times, I shouldn't bother to respond to Deputy. It's like poking at a rattlesnake - no good can come of it. Sigh. We all have our failings.

As expected, its turning ugly quick. Hang on everyone as we spiral down the drain of basic etiquette and good taste. Well, I guess you got me there. Pardon me for having an opinion. Not really. Its the same old strung-out druggies that have always been around who are a problem around here. The immigrants around here seem to behave themselves for the most part. Sorry, wrong again. The person I am referring to actually went to local trade schools trying to hire an apprentice he could take on and mentor. The instructors told him that he wouldnt be interested in any of the people in these classes. They clearly werent interested in working after getting out of trade school, they wanted to do nothing and get payed handsomely for it. So he had to go find immigrants that did want to actually work and learn from a skilled professional. The "young people" I refer to are the 18-25 year olds who should know better at this point in their lives.
