Anybody know who owns the old narrows outlets or who you call to check on renting a place there?

Norman Jamal. I don't have the number, but he owns a lot incliding the abandoned stores just across the Bay Bridge in Cape St. Clair with the liquor store and antique store in it.

Jamal is known to be quite a sneaky landlord!!! Be careful. What kind of business are you opening?

I don't really know, just putting some feelers out. So this guy Jamal isn't above board? The last I heard was some guy from DC owned it but I really haven't been following it that closely through the years.

Norman Jamal's old man basically got a slap on the wrist. I would bring up that it's attributed to some corruption in the DC Govt but than Pete might jump on it for his next post

I wish they would do something with the old outlets. Looks like a lot of them are really getting bad shape. I know a lot of good people have had really good ideas for the place but sewer and water allocation always seems to be the issue.

The word I have heard is that condo's are going on the second floor and stores on the first. Drawings have been approved but it will still take 3-5 years.

They didn't figure out that store's wont work there? Or at least maybe some limited one's will.

They day the new Kent Narrows bridge was completed, the Narrows Outlets started to go down hill. One would think that getting water and sewer or whatever it they need, would be a priority. But then again, thats why I'm not in politics!

Jemal is based in DC. His business practices follow suit. The property could do well aesthetically as a mixed use, but practically? Would you want a high dollar condo listening to Rte 50 AND on top of a commercial parking lot?
Make sure you've got legal advice concerning the lease documents, terms, and conditions. Also, ask about the length of the lease, and how long they actually expect to allow you to be there.
Good luck.
