In July of last year, a co-worker almost lost her husband to handgun violence. Early his year we started meeting with others to discuss how we can work to eliminate handguns from our society.
Topics include:
1. Banning all handguns. Handguns are the cause of most of our gun-related problems. Banning them will greatly reduce the amount of deaths in the US. 2. How to work with legislators to eliminate CCW's and making it illegal to carry your gun across state lines (MD is already on board but we need PA, VA and DE). 3. The need for tougher penalties for violations. 4. Banning all assault weapons. These weapons are extremely dangerous and have no practical use. 5. Requiring that all gun owners obtain a license. This will provide information on gun owners. 6. The regulation of all gun sales. Guns should only be sold only by licensed dealers. 7. Background checks for all gun-license applicants. 8. Requiring that all guns and ammunition be registered. This will provide information on the guns and ammunition owned by the gun owners.
We meet in Chester once a month. If you are at all interested in joining us, please contact me via email at vegan1512@gmail.com and I will provide you with all the details.
Please note that these meetings are for handgun opponents ONLY.

I really hope you're joking. A co-worker ALMOST lost her husband to handgun violence last year and now you want to ban them for everyone? If your co-worker's husband was killed due to golf club violence would you ban golf clubs? What good do you honestly think would come from banning handguns / assault weapons? www.saf.org/LawReviews/Espohl1.htmAnyway, good luck wasting your time with your idiotic anti-gun hippie meetings...you can find me at the gun store.

Your logic is flawed. So should we ban everything that has been used to kill, or in your case almost kill someone such as cars, boats, bats, alcohol, knives, cigarettes, soccer goal posts, the list can go on.

In July of last year, a co-worker almost lost her husband to pencil violence. Early his year we started meeting with others to discuss how we can work to eliminate pencils from our society. Topics include: 1. Banning all pencils. Pencils are the cause of most of our carpal tunnel problems. Banning them will greatly reduce the amount of deaths in the US. 2. How to work with legislators to eliminate CCW's and making it illegal to carry your pencils/writing utencils across state lines (MD is already on board but we need PA, VA and DE). 3. The need for tougher penalties for violations. 4. Banning all fountain pens. These pens are extremely dangerous and have no practical use. 5. Requiring that all writing utencil owners obtain a license. This will provide information on writing utencil owners. 6. The regulation of all writing utencil sales. Writing utencils should only be sold only by licensed dealers. 7. Background checks for all writing utencil-license applicants. 8. Requiring that all writing utencils and ink/lead refills be registered. This will provide information on the writing utencils and refills owned by the writing utencil owners. We meet in Chester once a month. If you are at all interested in joining us, please contact me via email at imanidiot@wowimdumb.com and I will provide you with all the details. It should be as in Texas. You think twice before you try something there. Everyone carries. We should all have guns, thus less crime. What do you think the bad guys register there guns? Yes they should be registered, and yes no felons. But we should be allowed to carry. Next time we lock up a robber he should get more time for not registering him gun.

ummm this is Kent Island and you want to start talking about banning guns ??
Do you realize in states where its legal to carry a handgun around crime is but a SMALL PERCENTAGE of what we have in maryland. not too mention we own the murder capital of the world.
you think baltimore would still carry this title if every time a criminal tried to mug an innocent law abiding citizen and that law abiding citizen was carrying their personal handgun. Educated and licensed to use it in self defense of course.
im sick of people like this. if you got a problem with guns move to another state. dont make maryland any harder than it is!

In July of last year, a co-worker almost lost her husband to drowning while fishing in the bay. Early his year we started meeting with others to discuss how we can work to eliminate this hazard. Topics include: 1. Paving the bay. The bay is almost out of crabs anyway. Paving this will greatly reduce the drowning hazards in the area. 2. How to work with legislators to eliminate bridge tolls. You would simply drive across the former body of water. 3. The need for tougher penalties for fishermen. 4. Banning all bath tubs. These tubs are extremely dangerous and have drowned a large number of children. 5. Requiring that all bodies of water have security fences on all sides to prohibit crossing. 6. The regulation of all bodies of water. We must eliminate this hazard everywhere.. We meet in Stevensville once a month at Chesapeake Guns. If you are at all interested in joining us, please contact me via email at imanidiot@pavethebay.com and I will provide you with all the details. Please note that these meetings are for anyone in fear of drowning. This is fun!

Go push that junk in Montgomery county, Vegan.
The people most ignorant about guns are the ones most likely to oppose them.
I've yet to meet an anti-gunner who has a respectable amount of knowledge on the topic.
No, criminals are.
MD doesn't have reciprocity with any state. It is already illegal for people from VA, DE, and PA to carry a gun across the state line. MD has a "may issue" policy, which forces people who want a concealed carry permit to prove to the Maryland State Police why they need it. This includes people who can document threats against their life, or small business owners who carry large sums of cash to the bank and are at greater risk.
The penalties for using a gun in a crime are high, they just need to be enforced.
Can you define "assault weapon"? Most guns that liberals classify as "assault weapons" fire less powerful projectiles than the average hunting rifle, and are less accurate. They only receive special attention because they look scary in movies. As far as magazine capacity, this is irrelevant because a well-practiced user can complete a magazine change in less than 2 seconds. Carrying 1 30 round magazine or carrying six 5-round magazines doesn't make a difference to someone wanting to kill mass amounts of people.
..and this information will be used to do what exactly? People already have to prove their age, residence, and submit to a criminal history check to ensure they aren't a felon.
This will only ensure that people who already follow the law now have to pay a dealer to conduct the sale of their own property, thereby making their property less valuable. People who don't follow the law will conduct business as usual.
That already happens.
Again, how will this information be used in a manner that isn't already in place? Gun owners are already under enough scrutiny to ensure that people who aren't legally allowed to buy a gun aren't buying them legally.
Why do you anti-gunners insist on making life difficult for the people who follow the law, yet totally ignoring those who don't?

There are a few different reasons politicians initially started restricting the second amendment rights of citizens, one of them is portrayed here. Early white supremacists were afraid of blacks with guns, and wanted them disarmed so they couldn't protect themselves against attack and harassment.

I am PRO GUN first off, but cmon folks, this lady is not serious. This is someone who wanted to PO the entire Island and it worked.
Trying to ban guns on the Eastern Shore is like trying to ban rice in China, never gonna happen.

The gun is merely the tool. Go ahead and ban guns. I can kill someone with car keys, a knife, a nail file, a hammer, most every garden tool, a stick, etc.... WHERE DOES YOUR BANNING STOP?
Criminals simply don't care about laws. That's why they are criminals. Put more laws and restrictions in place. Ban guns outright, guess what...they will still get them, guaranteed. All more laws and restrictions do is make it harder for us law abiding citizens to obtain them. By the way, go back and read your history, the first step of tyrants is to disarm the populace.
