With the Holiday approaching, and I know we have some good cooks on here. What is your ONE go to cookie for the Holiday. I am looking to get some new cookies in the mix this year.

Since I am Italian, my "go to cookie" is always Chocolate Italian, but most people already make those. Try these, they are moist and a always a hit.
*Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting*
Ingredients * 1 cup butter flavored shortening * 1 cup white sugar * 1 egg * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 cup canned pumpkin puree * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 1 teaspoon baking soda * 1 teaspoon salt * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix * 1 (16 ounce) container cream cheese frosting
Directions 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening and sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla, then stir in the pumpkin puree. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla instant pudding mix; gradually mix into the pumpkin mixture. Roll into walnut sized balls and place them 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. 3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly browned at the edges. Allow to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.

Oh nooo!!! I feel your pain... I had gallbladder issues for several years with several trips to the ERonly to be diagnosed with..... wait for it...... gas! Once they finally did a sonogram they figured out what was wrong and I finally had it removed. Thank God! The pain smometimes is unbearable. I hope you you feel better soon. It's bad enough having gallbladder issues, and it's worse with the holidays. I dont know if this will help you but try it - what the heck!
Flax Seed Tea Recipe: (during an attack) Boil 1 Tbsp of organic flax seeds in 2 1/2 cups of water for 5 minutes. Steep 10 minutes. Strain and sip slowly.
...Also I didnt know this at the time, but I heard cucumbers help as well.. Let me know if it works for you. Good luck.
