No guys! Not those, these.......... It's a cloudy, drizzly, foggy day out there, headlights should be on. It's not about you being able to see, it's about you being seen by others.

Absolutely agree - had the same thought this morning. And then I got onto Route 50 and someone still had hard crusty ice on their car that flew off into the windshields of nearby cars.....some people are just oblivious.

blah, blah, blah,
it happens, SLOW DOWN, BACK OFF, and PAY ATTENTION. Drive according to the conditions.....
No matter what the law is you have to lookout for yourself.

It happens to people too lazy to clear the ice off of their car, and it doesn't always land on the spot directly behind you.

I wasn't even thinking about that, I was going with the low visibility aspect of it and that having headlights on during those type of conditions just makes it a little safer for everyone out there......sort of a common sense thing in my book. I do like the suggestion of driving to the conditions and looking out for myself. Look for me the next time during am rush hour on a low visibility conditions day on 50, between the 50/301 split and the bay bridge. I'll be the guy in the the center lane, maybe even the left lane, doing 50 mph, playing it safe. Toot the horn and wave when you see me.
