Two accidents in two days - both at the intersection of Rt 8 and Main Street @ approx 8AM. Today it was a motorcycle vs. car, yesterday it weas a car and minivan with jr. high age kids. I stopped to ask if everyone was ok; the voluynteer fire dept was there and could do more than me. I THINK it looks like someone from each accident ran the red light, but I can't be sure. I'm trying to not take this as a sign not to drive past there each morning, or on my motorcycle. Please slow down everyone! And maybe the town should check the light out too - two accidents in two days at the same time is too much of a coincedence.

People don't seem to be nice anymore. It's all "screw you, I'm pulling out in front" now, which is like it is in DC and Baltimore. It's a whole different mentality and I for one don't welcome it here. What can we do to get people to just be nice to eachother? I understand when I see Virginia plates or PA plates, because that's how it is there, but it never was that rude here, and lately I've been seeing MD plates right there with the VA people in being rude.

It's got nothing to do with the tag on the car,
It's the person behind the wheel, and "they" are from all over.
Be nice 1st, it'll come back to you.

I'm not quite sure what being rude has to do with auto accidents.
I'm just saying we need to pay more attention at this intersection, if you find yourself on "autopilot" every morning.

I know in one of the accidents the girl ran the red light. Everyone is so impatient that they do not want to be caught at a red light for a couple of minutes. I think bchevy said this in another post, but yellow lights are supposed to mean "stop now if you can", not "you still have (?) seconds to get through this light"!
