Does anyone know of any fun activities going on this weekend?
Also - anyone find any good deals on crabs? The Crab Deck had some last weekend that looked great, but I'm not sure how their prices were.

Sorry guys, tourist prices. I grew up on the water, not on KI, but not far from it. $60.dozen, $45./dozen, $50./dozen, Not me. knock yourself out. it's a crab, and those are bushel prices, Sorry- I'll wait for the deals, or I'll do without
The Jettywont get another dime from me, I ate there last summer for the last time, terrible crabs, terrible service, even the watresses were walking out! (we saw 2 quit)
I guess this'll stir it up....

BChevy, I agree with you about The Jetty last year. The service at the bar has always been slow, and the food has always been really bad there, until now. I don't know if it's because of another new owner / manager there (they've been through a bunch over the years), but the place has really improved. I heard that they are working together with the new Hilton in serving food to them, so I gave them another try. I had a crab salad wrap and steamers at the bar and not only was the service great, but the food was as well. I was there this past weekend and had mussels and the shrimp salad wrap whick were both great too. Somebody told me that the Jetty is either managed or owned by Holly's now, so maybe that's why they have improved. Either way, it's a good place to be outdoors at and have a few beers with casual eats.
On another note, I can't say that I'de be happy if I were paying $150 a night for a room at the new Hilton and I was hearing the bands below at The Jetty cranking at 11PM. I wonder what, if anything, will eventually happen with that....
