It looks like the bad neighborhoods in the area are being cleaned up, at least a little, but Robinwoods is still horrible. Has the local government written them off?

Knowing Annapolis, they will just build more Section-8 housing, then more, then more...etc. Pretty soon the entire city will be nothing but waterfront ghetto housing, and that still won't be good enough. It's a sore spot with me because I can remember when it was safe to walk around St. Johns and not ever worry about violent crime anywhere except the 'hotspots', like Robinwoods and lower West Street. Now the city is surrounded and it shows in the police blotters.

I almost bought a town house that backed up to Robin Wood (I always thought that it was "Robinwoods" too) along Forest Drive called "Annapolis Overlook". They were three stories high, large, and has a swimming pool, gym, etc., all for around $120K back in 1999. I didn't know why they were so cheap until I started driving around and went right behind the particular town house that I was looking at. Scary ghetto that looked like nobody has given a crap about it for many years. I then moved to Arnold, then to KI. Too bad because it was a really nice town house.

Really it's Hoodlumville, is that the best you can do here? Tomato, Tomahto, either way it's a mess.
