Ok, women too.....
I have a ford 9" rear question. I have pulled and replaced many center section in the past, but I've never disassembled one. I needed to replace the bump stop that's mounted on the cover of the pinion gear. It's held on with 3 of the 5 bolts on the the pinion cover. The rear is know leaking from the pinion cover, the seal must have broken even though I only took off 3 bolts.
I got a new seal for the cover, so my question is....Can you pull out the whole pinion assembly from the ring gear in the center section without pulling axles and pulling the whole center section?
Thanks.
