HOW IS IT THAT THE STUFF THAT GOES ON IN KENT ISLAND LITTERALLY IS KNOW THROUGHOUT THE AREA. BAD RELATIONSHIPS, PUB FIGHTS.... FRIENDS IN VA KNOW ABOUT OUR DRAMA. What does that say about our city? About the people in our city and the way they live their lives. They've been calling us Jerryville. What can be done about the people in our city that give us a bad reputation? Just a question I thought maybe others might have some suggestions on..

City?
I don't see any of this, and working in DC (where everyone lives in VA) nobody there has even heard of Kent Island. I get a blank stare when asked where I live all of the time ;D
Maybe it's different for the younger people then? Just seems odd.

It's not a city. It's a small town. You may be thinking of where you moved from?
Small towns and rural areas have rumor mills. That's the way it is - juicy news spreads fast. Don't like it, don't get involved in the trouble, and don't spread the rumors you hear.

I guess the best answer for that is to avoid acting like "Jerryville". Avoid "pub fights" and red-neck drama.
Works for me.

Untrue. I'm from Virginia, and I've heard of Kent Island. Nice place you have. My mother loved it so much, she bought property on Kent Island.
