Wow..just got the new rate for our health insurance. We are in a group plan (fed employee). Our cost is going up over 23%! Our new premium is over $500 a month! This on top of multiple co pays for everything. Thank you Obamacare!

It's open season for us too. Higher rates and less coverage. Thanks Obama!

Now it seems Michelle Obama's college room mate was the awarded the no-bid contract for $678 million to build the crappy Obamacare website? Why does no one seem to have a problem with this? Where's the outrage? Or, have we just lowered our expectations of Obama?

I do have outrage about...but the outrage should be about the whole continued it never ever changes no matter how mad the American people get about it.
Remember...Haliburton...Cheney...contract work for the military...the Irag wars...oil well fires in Kuwait...no bid contracts...Bush...it never changes, and when it does, it just gets watered down, reverted over time until it blows up again and there's outrage all over again.

I agree mj, but by his own words, he was going to hold himself to a higher standard. This was part of his promise to the American people:
My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.
Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.
Everyone knows what Bush did, and the media lit him up over it. There was public outcry, protests in the street, and daily criticism from the media. You don't know anything going on in the Obama administration until someone leaks it. A lot of now public knowledge wouldn't have ever gotten out if not for Edward Snowden. Benghazi? fast and furious? Fannie mae/Freddie mac?
I remember when Cindy Sheehan camped out at Bush's Texas ranch. Secret Service wanted to remove her, but GW insisted they let her be because she was just excersizing her first amendment right. I can't see Obama being that accomodating.

A quote from comedian Jackie Mason that kind of sums up the confusing, frustrating and sad situation we find ourselves in these days: The stand-up comic, who calls himself “The Ultimate Jew,” continued on Obama: “He has a whole country walking around dizzy wondering who we’re listening to. If this is a president of a country, how come he’s the only one in America who doesn’t seem to know what’s going on here?
