Please consider joining us for the 9th Annual Upper Shore Dementia Caregivers Conference--the theme is “Family Support Through The Stages.” The conference, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, Queen Anne County’s Area Agency on Aging & Upper Shore Aging, Inc. will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Kramer Center in Centreville, Maryland. This year’s conference speakers will focus on resources and strategies family caregivers can use while caring for a loved one with dementia. Dr. David Loreck, geriatric psychiatrist at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center will cover care in the later stages. Ilene Rosenthal from the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss free and low-cost services caregivers may want to utilize. Dr. Mary DiBartolo of Copper Ridge Institute and Salisbury University will speak about family conflict when coordinating dementia care. There will also be a panel of family caregivers discussing their personal experiences with dementia.
